Chapter 4 - Tsumizu Daiki

*Back to 5 years ago*

The (hair length) (hair colour) haired female laid in her hospital bed after almost 4 hours of battling for her life.

Slowing down her heartbeats rate by slowly breathing in and out, she managed to calm herself down. Her hands still holding the metal bars on each side of the bed.

Not long after that, a black haired man entered with worried filled face. A beautiful (hair colour) haired woman walked along side with him. Her face was neutral. She smiled grateful as her eyes laid on her same colour haired daughter.

She rushed to quickly hugged her daughter.

"How do you feel dear?"

"I'm okay mum. Just a little tired."

"You must be. I know the feeling. Sleep now dear. You need to rest." she smiled softly to her daughter.

"Can I do that after I see my son?" she said with hopes in her voice.

As soon as she the words came out of her mouth, a knock was heard on the door of the private hospital room. Granting the entrance, a nurse along with a baby inside an unlid incubator came through the door.

She stopped the incubator beside (Your Name). Carefully, she picked up the baby before handing the baby boy to his mother. Then excusing herself out of the room to attain to her other works.

The girl teared up looking at the pure face of her son.

"Daiki... I want to call him Daiki." she said as if the name came out of her mouth naturally. As if she had been thinking about the name from the start but she doesn't.

And the name seems perfect for her little boy. She looked up to her parents who both had their eyes welled-up.

"That sounds great sweetheart." the girl's mother said softly while drying her unshed tears.

(Your Name) was just about to asked them about Daiki's surname before her father spoke before her.

"I don't want my grandchild to be named after his father. He'll be known throughout his life as Tsumizu Daiki. After your great grandparents."

"But dad, like it or not, the Uchiha blood still ran in his veins." the girl solemnly said. Sad for the truth that she hoped could change.

"I don't care about that (Your Name). He should and will be called as a Tsumizu. Never an Uchiha." the man sternly said.

"But it's not right dad. Not according to the law." the girl tried to talk to her father. She knew how he felt about the name. She did too. But she don't wan anything to harm their family in the future.

The child in the girl's arm started sobbing and squirming uncomfortable. Their argument clearly got to his ears and disturbing his sleep. The girl quickly lulled his back to sleep.

Seeing this, the much older woman held to her husband's arm. Silently asking his to stop arguing with their daughter.

"I'll reconsider about putting his name in Daiki's birth certificate. But only in his certificate." he said finally giving up.

He then gently patted his grandson's closely wrapped body. Watching as the child slowly went back to sleep as his small fingers grabbed to one of the man's.

"We'll protect him. With our everything (Your Name) dear." he said as his other arm wrapped to his wife's shoulder. He smiled gently back to his one and only daughter.

*Back to the present*

Remembering back to the day her child was born. The woman sighed.

There was a reason why she also named herself as Tsumizu. She never wanted her son to ever feel distinct from their family. In any way.

Never once does she felt embarrassed or even burdened by the name. She love and respected her great grandparents very much. And nothing can change that.

And now after she was asked THE question. The origin of his son. She was left dumbfounded.

Now, for the first time in 5 years her tongue was tied. She did not know what to answer to her son. For 5 years she had been avoiding the question. Now maybe she needed to answer it.

Maybe he'll understand. Maybe he's not that young of a boy as he was on his appearance after all.

But deep down, he is. (Your Name) knew that. No matter how smart he can be. No matter how fast he caught on to something. No matter what he will always be her young boy. Her only son.

"I'll tell you all about it on your 5th birthday. Can you wait that long Daiki?" she asked in her soft voice. She was always soft when it came to her son. Daiki was her world. He was her everything. And he will always be her everything.

From the corner of her eyes she can saw her dad looking at her with concerned eyes. She knew how he was with the topic. 'Avoid it for as long as you can.' was what he always told her when regarding the topic.

But she also knew, that he knows it's time to tell the truth. And she was grateful that he never once stopped her in any of her other decisions after Daiki's naming issue came out.

He trusted her. And she was thankful with that.

The young boy looked at her mother questionably. As if reading her emotions. Like he always did.

"Okay mummy. I promise I'll wait." he then smiled to his mother.

The young mother hugged the boy tightly in her arms. And his son returned the hug with equal tightness. Happy for the physical and loving contact from his mother.

Now all the woman need to think of how she should tell her son about the truth.
