It was midnight...
Abigail's parents and her friends had sleep. Only Abigail was sleepless.
Shereena's POV
I don't know why..but someone- no something had woken me. This was my First Time that I woke up by myself without my alarm clock or my parents woke me up. But this was different...
When I turn and look at Abigail's bed, I noticed that Abigail was awake. Wait..does she sleep the passed few hours? Or does she awakes?
I saw Abigail sigh. Should I go to her or just pretend to sleep??
Then, out of nowhere...
Knock,knock.
What the.... I turned to look at the door. I thought it was her parents but no one open it. Because of that, I thought her parents played a prank on us since it was April. But I was wrong. Do you know why I said that? It was because Abigail look at the door and I saw fear in her eyes thanks to the moonlight that shone in her room brighten up the room a little. But even so... That knocking...who was it??
Knock , Knock.
This time..it was louder. Loud enough for all of us to wake up. And guess what? I was right. All of them wake up. "Hey, are you guys awake?" Chaw suddenly asked. "Yea." Arnold answered, " Who's knocking?" "I don't know... I was sleeping." Said Rachel. "It's always like this..knocking could be hear, footsteps..and that's why I can't sleep." Abigail said in a sad tone. "What...?"Alex said.
"Wow,that is scary..." The annoying Arnold said.
"Really, Arnold? How about you? Said the person who played Ouija Board before." Alex talk back at Arnold. "You.....!" Arnold clench his fists. " Stop you two! We should stop arguing and help Abigail!!" I was so mad at them.
Rachel's POV
What are these two thinking?! Does they know the situation that we're in right now?
KNOCK,KNOCK
That knocking sound again...
Without even thinking twice, Chaw immediately stand up and opened the door. I though it was her parents the one who knocked on the door. But after Chaw opened that door, how wrong was I to figured out that kind of things. " There's no one out here." Chaw said. But soon Chaw closed that door.. "Hey, doesn't anyone felt this room is much colder than before?" Alex then cover his body with a blanket. I saw Abigail silently sit on her bed, watching us as we talked. Alex is right. This room seem colder than before.
"Guys... The knocking sound had stopped." Abigail finally said.
Chaw's POV
Shit.... Ever since I opened that door, I began to feel itching at my hand. No matter how many times I tried it, it's still itchy. Even so, Abigail was right.
TAP TAP
That's when we heard it. "Shhh..." Rachel hushed them to keep their mouth close.
TAP TAP
The footsteps was right outside Abigail's door. Each times the footsteps make, the closer it gets to the door.
TAP TAP TAP TAP
This time, I'm sure it's standing just outside from her door.
THIRD POV
"I will take a look outside." Arnold whispered quietly to them. "What?! Are you crazy?!" Alex whispered angrily at him. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not." Arnold smirked.
Everyone tried to stop Arnold but failed. He's too strong. Arnold was standing 2 inched from the door. He took a deep breath then let it out. He decided to opens the door.
When he opened it, their eyes widen. No one. No one was outside. And after that, we couldn't hear any more footsteps. Arnold quickly close the door. "Abigail, are you ok?" Asked Shereena. Abigail just nod. But when Shereena touched her hand, it was freakking as cold as ice.
"Abigail?!" Shereena shouted Abigail's name in horror. "Hey, what happened?" Asked Rachel. "Her..her hand..." Shereena was struggling to find the correct sentences. "Her hand....was as cold as ice!" " Huh?" Alex asked. " Ours too." "No, touch her hand!" Shereena asked them. Everyone stood up and went to sit near Abigail. All of them touched her hand. "Holy Molly! Abigail, are you okay?!" Exclaimed Chaw.
"Hey,you don't have to worry.." Abigail said quietly. "Let's just go to sleep and figured out the knocking sound and the footsteps in the morning..." She said.
All of them nod their head in worried but decided to went to bed.
