Secrets shatter

Chapter 7

I wake startled from having a night mare. I'm panting frantically and I'm coved in sweat. I dreamt that a man broke in, a man all in black. He battered Storm and Bessy jabbed me, knocking me unconscious. I woke in a hospital and I lost my memory, there was a doctor that was rather too jolly. Also Bessy needed to tell me something very important but insisted I got rest. That everything in my life had gone wrong and that I hadn't even bothered to ask we're storm was!! Is she all right after being strangled and thrown down from the second floor to the ground floor including the floor boards. I look down and I'm still in a hospital bed. I look over to the side heart racing (I still have a pulse obviously) and Bessy wakes startled from me screaming from my nightmare.

" it was all real!" I sigh holding my head in my hands and shaking my head. I start to cry and Bessy wraps her arms around me, and whispers in my ear gently " I'm afraid so..."

Storm!?!

"Where's Storm!?!" I say gripping her arms.

She looks at me. "Do u feel o.k now."

"Yes yes!" I faff, even though I actually do.

"Then come on. I'll show you." She says taking my hand and dragging me out of bed.

I still have the scratchy paper like dress on. As I clamber out of bed it is very cold. I shiver, Bessy looks at me and then looks at the end of the bed were the dressing gown was. She grabbed it and passes it to me saying nothing. I wrap it round me tight. My bear feet on the tiled floor was cold and made a funny flat noise as I walked. I scurried alone after Bessy as she was pacing by looking around. She stops and looks confused. A nurse was walking by. " excuse me?" Bessy says innocently. " could you please show me wear ward 32 is?" She says staring up at her.

" yes, just down that corridor, right at the end." The nurse says pointing down the corridor.

"Thank you very much." She says politely.

And off we go again.

"You don't even now were she is?" I whisper.

"No. She got moved to this ward last night" we don't say anything else.

We walk through the door. And stop In front of a curtain with a label saying ward 32.

We both take a deep breath. In the corner of my eye I see a tear escape. She wipes it away quickly. She was about to open the curtain when it was opened from the other side and the doctor was there again. She squeals when she sees us. " You made me jump out of my skin" she says with a slight laugh to try and brighten the mood. We are still looking at her blankly, and awkwardly but slightly jolly  she says " well right then, I best be off."  as she squeezes between us, and turning on her heels (again)  she turns back at us and puts her hands on our shoulders. she sinks down slowly to us and says slowly and less cheerful " there is a slight improvement but she is still, well, not great..." she lowers her head and squeezes our shoulders and off she trots. Bessy grabs my hand and squeezes it. She opens the curtain and there Storm is.

of the heart monitor. Her eyes are closed shut, her long blonde her laying across the pillow, her pale skin isn't like it normally is. Not because she is a vampire but the pale skin when you have when your ill. She is breathing through a gas mask around her mouth. Tubes are up her nose and are dotted on her arms. I start to break down at the end of her bed. I cant seem to walk towards her.

"why isn't she awake?" I whisper gripping  onto the bed.

Bessy is on the chair, eyes filled with tears. But she looks down.

"I said why isn't she awake, Bessy?" I sob.

" she's in a, well in a coma..."

"noo!" I cry. "noo!" I run towards her. I collapse on her painfully still body. "Please nooo! just noo.." I cry into the sheets.

Sorry for the late update again.                                                                                                             So sad :( but it had to happen.
