Today the atmosphere in my home was very different like their were some people who were roaming,some were chatting, and children's running and playing,mumma and abbu were busy with preparations,aamir was with fathima taking care of her,aapi was busy with attending her hubby and mother-in-laws family,each n everyperson in my home were busy...

Today is my engagement,I am nervous would be an understatement I was afraid many different feelings many different thoughts and many other things were going on in my mind like how will I live without my family,will I adjust in that home,how will be the people in that home and most importantly how my partner will be.?will he love me..?is he happy with all this things.?etcccc..

"Mahira come out of your dreamland girl" aapi's voice broke my thoughts

"I uhh. . . ." I wasn't able to speak

"Mahi dearie I know you are nervous but don't worry today is only your engagement there is still much more time for your marriage.." aapi said

I nodded

"Go and freshenup everyone is waiting for you and by the way were are your friends..?" Aapi asked

"They will be coming aapi wait I will call them.." I said

"No dear I will call them go and freshenup your mother-in-laws family will be here soon.." aapi said

I got freshenup and when I came out from bathroom all my friends and mussaffa were sitting and gossiping..

Ahemm.... I cleared my throat for them to notice me

"Assalamualaikum Mahi.." they all engulfed me in a tight group hug

"Walaikumasalam girls I can't breathe.." I said

"We are very happy today after arshi you are the one who is getting engaged.." aniqua said

"Acha chalo aaj jiska din hai unhe taiyar kartay hain.." arshi said

"Arshi I am nervous.." I said

I just nodded and then they all got busy in getting me ready today I was wearing a long blue colour maxi with golden borders in middle,my friends did my minimal makeup like foundation,kajal,eyeliner,lipbalm and some lite colur eye shades..

"Ma sha allah mahi you are looking like an angel.." my friends praised me

"jazak allah,sidru from morning I didn't talked properly with mom can you please call her I wanna see her.." I said

"Okay dear sit and relax I will call aunty.." sidra said and left the room to call mumma

After 10-15 mins she came alone and I asked

"Where is mumma.?"

"I am here meri jaan,ma sha allah you are looking very pretty,kisi ki nazar na lage meri bachi ko.." mumma said and kissed my forehead

"Ma sha allah you are looking exactly like a princess today,hamesha khush reh meri jaan.."abbu jaan said hugged me and kissed my forehead,he also came with mumma

"Khubsurat toh hogi hi,Aakhir behen kiski hai.." aamir said entering the room with fathima,everyone laughed and I just rolled my eyes at him playfully
