Nurses and doctors rushed in calling codes and other doctors in. Hannah rushed in after hearing the sharp blaring sound of the pacer machine. All I could hear was Hannah yelling at Paris outside the door. "How long has she been coding?" A nurse asked. "45 minutes." A nurse replied back. "I think it's time to call it-" a doctor replied to both nurses. "No we don't call it until they are actually dead. She is not dead. Do you understand me?" Dr. Shard said interrupting their thoughts of stopping. The nursed looked at her as if she was crazy. Dr. Shard pulled her aside and took over CPR, "Come on Sadie, you can't give up now, not after everything I have done for you, not after all the supplies and time I have put into saving you. God dammit." She said getting more anxious and frustrated by the second. After 45 minutes of me coding, it all of a sudden stopped.
Paris walked in, leaned against the glass sliding door, and crossed her arms, "I have a point." Paris stated. Hannah just totally lost it, "No, you don't have a point, she is loved and cared and wanted by so many people in this world. That is my best friend and you aren't gonna change that. Grow up Paris and most of all, leave Sadie the fuck alone. Its not my fault you're a jealous bitch, so I think it's best you leave." Hannah said getting in her face. Paris just flipped her hair and walked out.
The date is now September 2. I'm still in a coma, and Hannah still hasn't left. I overheard the doctors saying something about a brain injury or something like that, I didn't catch everything they were saying. They also said they were waiting until I was strong enough to survive and withstand surgery.
I started coding at 6:27 pm. The doctors rushed in. Hannah was asleep when the machines started going off, but as soon as it went off she was up and very alert, "I thought you guys said she wasnt strong enough to withstand surgery." Hannah said taking a few steps back to stay out of the way. "She isn't. We have no choice." Dr shard said keeping me for surgery. They took off the brakes and rolled me out, rushing me to the OR.
Once we got to the OR, everyone scrubbed in as quickly as possible. Dr. Shard hesitated and then cut. I was in the gallery upstairs observing. Once Dr. Shard had gotten to the inner layer, just blood. I wasn't gonna make it, and Dr. Shard didn't know what to do at that point.
Will Sadie pull through and live, or die on that table? Read the next chapter to find out.
