Chapter Ten

PIPPA'S POV:

When the boogeyman finally left, I curled into a ball in the corner of the cage. I silently sobbed to myself, thinking.

Why does he want me?

Who is he, exactly?

What is he going to do with me?

Then I realized, what if those questions are so scary, I die?

No, that's ridiculous. Asking questions can't kill you!! It's the answers I should be worried about.

But even though I was very scared about dying, I couldn't help but think about mommy and daddy.

Where are they?

And what if they never come?

JACK'S POV:

I flew with Elsa in my arms along the mountains.

"PIPPA!!", she screamed. The tears flowed down her face faster than I could stop them. There was no answer, and after a few moments, I flew onward. I thought of any possible locations that Pitch would be.

But it's impossible to find the shadow-man in a world full of shadows.

An idea found it's way into my head. As I thought it over, I realized how perfect it was! I willed for the wind to push us faster, towards the location I chose.

"Jack! Where are we going?", Elsa asked, hope renewing itself in her eyes. I smiled.

This reminded me of one of the moments we had had; flying through the air, that spark of hope and curiosity in her eyes, looking into mine.

I couldn't help but break into a smile. A tug on my collar pulled me out of my daze, and I looked down at Elsa. Her eyebrows were scrunched together, like they always were when she was confused, and her lips were pursed.

"What are you smiling about, Frost?", she murmured. I grinned even larger.

"I have an idea about where we can go", I said.

Her eyes widened. "Where Jack? Oh Jack, tell me where!!"

"To see some old friends", I said through my cat-like grin, "and maybe some newer ones."

Hey guys! Sorry it took so long to update. My social studies teacher has been getting on my nerves, with all this NHD stuff. I never had time to update!

But, finally, I am done with NHD. THANK THE LORD.

I will be updating more now, because I don't have any major projects due anytime soon. Well, except this one, but it's not that major.

Anyway, enough about my problems with life. So....who do you think the friends are? Well, I bet you know who the old ones are, but can you guess the new ones?
