- Holland Greene.perfect
adjective
ˈpəːfɪkt/having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be."she strove to be the perfect wife"
synonyms:
ideal, model, without fault, faultless, flawless, consummate, quintessential, exemplary, best, best-example, ultimate.Have you ever looked at somebody and thought, "wow, they have the perfect life."
But, what does perfect even mean? Why do we compare ourselves to others in the hopes to feel better?
Year ten student Holland Greene was quite content with her life. Living with her family of six, she maintained good grades, an undoubtedly hot boyfriend, and overall, a perfect life. Right?
Wrong.
This was until one night flipped her whole world upside down. One night when her family finally saw behind the strong mask Holland showed the world.
That one night that broke her, and her heart into two.
After the said night, Holland locked away her heart, building walls around herself in an act to protect herself from further harm.
Her lovely personality soon cracked and faded, wilting liked dead roses. Replaced by a cold hearted corpse of the girl she once was.
Although, on the inside, deep down, she was still the same Holland everyone knew and loved, screaming and fighting to break free of her own self destructive behaviour.
