~ASHLEE'S POV~

I said goodbye to Leah for the night and called my brother Aiden to pick me up. I was in need of someone to talk to about all of this. Ten minutes later, I saw his blue pick-up truck pull up to the curb.

"Where's Jorden?" I asked in a sheepish tone.

"You need to talk, I could tell" he replied. He has always been able to read me like an open book. I quickly opened the door on the passenger side of his truck and climbed in.

"Sooo..." he spoke as soon as we were moving.

"I KISSED LEAH!" I blurted and started freaking out, tears falling fast down my face. My breaths were short and labored.

"Ash-Ash.." He stuttered and pulled over. As soon as he pulled over, he turned off the car and unbuckled himself and me. Sliding over to the passenger side, he picked me up and held me in his long arms.

"Shhhh..." He crooned, trying to calm me down. He brushed my hair out of my face. "It's gonna be okay, I promise sis" he said, speaking at almost a whisper. I started to calm down a few minutes later, I was able to talk like a normal person again.

"You able to talk now?" he asked, making sure I was alright.

I looked at his long brown hair and bright blue eyes. He and I looked so much alike, despite being fraternal twins. I nodded; I just hurt so much at the moment. It was these kinds of days that reminded me her, today more so than usual, since it's been a whole year since I lost Page.

~_FLASHBACK_~

"Oh baby, I love you so much" I said in the most cheerful tone I could manage.

"And I love you too baby, forever" Page replied.

"AND" we both said at the same time.

"Always baby girl, always" I said. Page smiled at me. Then Her phone buzzed, and the smile was gone.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" I asked, as she replied to a text.

"I forgot today was my mothers birthday, CRAP!" she wined.

"I'll ask Aiden if he can drive you home." I walked over to Aiden who was downstairs and asked him if he could give Page a ride home.

"As much as I wish I could, Shawn has my car. His battery died, again, and he had to get to work" Aiden told me. I sighed and ran back upstairs to Page.

"We can always walk," I suggested.

"Yeah, let's go then" Page replied.

We walked out the door hand-in-hand. We walked across the street and down the sidewalk. It was a fairly nice day, and I was pretty happy. My life felt perfect and I couldn't ask for anything more in that moment.

Then, out of nowhere, a car comes speeding past. "PAGE" I screamed as I saw the headlights come running into us.

"Ash-babe, I-I lov-e yo-u. Don't ever- hold back because I'm go-gone." Those were her last words.

"NO babe- no no nooo-" I tried to scream as they pulled us onto stretchers and into two separate ambulances.

~_END OF FLASHBACK_~

"Can I please go lay flowers on her grave Aiden?" I asked

"Yes" He replied. So we stopped at a nearby drug store and picked up 3 single red roses (For the 3 years we dated) and 1 single white rose (for your never gone).

Then Aiden took me to the graveyard.

It didn't take me long to find her black and white gravestone with a hand drawn picture of a rose she drew floating by itself in a small pound resting upon it.

Her Stone Read:

Don't cry, for I'm not gone

I lay here taking a nap

For some day, we will re-meet

I will never be gone

I still live in your daily lives

I cried as I read the engravement over again, tracing my index finger over the letters. "Baby I so need you now...I know you told me to find someone else, but I need you baby. Why did you have to go?!" I cried out, not angry, just upset. Just then, I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder.

"I'm going to go find dad's marker and lay some flowers over his grave, so you can have some time alone. Stay here when your done so you don't get lost and I'll be back" Aiden told me and walked away.

I reached in my pocket and took out a folded envelope and set it down on her grave. I did this often. In a way, I felt like she was still able to read what I wrote to her.

"I love you Page" I said and kissed my fingers to my lips and touched her stone. "Do you think Leah would be a good girlfriend for me? I just don't know what to do. I know you said move on, but it’s just really hard sometimes. I miss you at night. Everyone is doing okay I guess, they all miss you so much, even my mom. She said you were like a daughter to her. Rest in peace baby" I said, crying. I really did miss her, so much. She had meant the world to me.

Aiden soon came back and wrapped me in a warm hug, "I miss her too, Ash," he told me. Page had always been the kind of person that got along with everyone she met. People loved her, even though she wasn't straight.

I laid the flowers down on her grave, and walked silently back to the truck.

As Aiden and I headed home, no one made effort to talk, which was fine with me, because I didn't feel much like talking.
