Internal Damage

Ava sat there, emotionless. Leaning against the smooth, painted wall. She watched as people walked past her, gave only a glance and they continued on with their day as if she didn't exist. She noticed a couple further up the hall, a blonde girl and a boy with black hair kissing. Ava looked down, tears started to fall but no emotion was felt. As she looked up, she saw the girl from before had sat down next to her.
'Hey there, how are you?' she asked, a voice smooth as silk.
'You look a little down.' The boy asked, his voice deep but reassuring.

'I-I'm fine.' she said in response. Her body started to quiver, as the horrifying moment repeated itself in her mind, playing over and over agian with no sign that it would stop in the coming days.
'Are you sure?' the girl asked. 'If you dont wanna talk about it thats fine. I'm Lilly, and this is Jack.' she said, as she pointed at the boy Ava had seen her kissing.
'I'm Ava...' She said quietly as she looked down towards the floor.

After they talked, they convinced her to walk with them. The couple took her to place with a fountain, they all sat on the grass, talking about various things. Eventually they got onto the topic of Truth or Dare. they played for a while and Lilly asked Ava if she wanted truth or dare, when Ava picked truth, she asked;
'What was your scariest moment..?'

When she asked the question, Ava just sat there silently, not moving or talking. The memory of what had happened to her at the dance had shown itself once again. When the flashback ended, all she felt was pure sadness. Tears fell down her face as she got up and ran to her dorm room...
