The beginning of this chapter will start off on Asgard in no one's perspectiive. PLEASE give me feedback, I love hearing what you have to say on this story!
Odin sat in his throne overlooking the other five people in the room. A woman with black hair and green eyes stood among a larger man with long red hair and a curly beard to match, an oriental looking man, and a blonde headed man with blue eyes. With them stood Heimdall, Guardian of the Worlds.
"I gathered you all here today to discuss a particular subject that affects all of us: the fate of Loki." Odin's voice sounded so final and the woman and redheaded man shuddered slightly.
"Good riddance!" the blonde-haired person said, "It's about time." The glared he received from the woman silenced him and Odin directed his attention toward the blonde man.
"Now, Fandral, I know your disdain towards my son is more than you'd like to bear, but Loki is not dead." The redheaded man seemed to relax but the woman's eyes remained sharp. "He has been sent to Midgard with an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Thor vogues for her credibility and I know I should never doubt my son, but-"
"Then don't doubt him! Thor won many victories in battle and lead us warriors in causing great defeat. Maybe there is hope in his quest for Loki to pull away from whatever he has sunken into."
"You hope is admirable, Sif, really, but which son of Odin do you intend on courting?" Fandral scoffed. Sif drew her sword and placed the blade against his neck, watching the flicker in his eyes dance between fear and arousal.
"Cut it out you guys!" the redheaded man said.
"One moment, Volstagg," Sif replied then directed her attention toward Fandral. "If you make one more remark about or to me, I will cut off every extremity on your body and throw them into the Bifrost, praying they be scattered to some unforgivable place like Jotunheim!" Her words were fangs that sank into his skin, infecting him with enough venom to make him squirm.
"Now, if Sif and Fandral are done, I would like to actually discuss what I intend to," Odin said displaying where Loki got his sass. "I have asked Heimdall to look into this woman, Anastasia Vandal's life and what he found was, not something we were ready to believe."
"What's so bad about this mortal?" the oriental looking man asked.
"Something has to be a bit loose upstairs to let Loki live with her," Fandral said then snickered to himself.
"She suffers great loss, constantly. She has only known compassion and generosity for two years out of her twenty years of life, and a year ago, Loki himself stripped her of that compassion and happiness when he murdered her unofficial father and caused the death of her unofficial mother and sister," Heimdall announced.
"So she knows Loki killed her family and she still brings him back to Earth with her?" the oriental man asked.
"Hogun's right, that doesn't make any sense," Volstagg added.
"I assume that this is a ploy, some sort of plot that Loki conjured while in his cell before his hearing," Odin said as the doors cracked open.
"Odin! What is this?" a woman's voice called, Frigga.
"Darling, we are here to speak of the progression of Loki's behavior as he is on Earth," Odin said, his tongue practically turning to lead as he lied to his wife.
"Your false words burden me, my sweet. I know what you are discussing. Mind that girl's privacy and trust your son as I do!" she said glaring at her husband then exchanging looks of greeting between the other five people.
"He is no son of mine," Odin stubbornly stated.
"No, he is not, you only raised him, taught him how to act as an Asgardian and tried to train him to be a warrior and a king, just as you did with Thor, your son. But no, Loki is the exception. He is nothing to you though he had the same life as Thor." Her voice was passive and sweet as she dug her argument into Odin's mind and turning the tables and making him dig himself into a hole.
"He obviously did not absorb the message I tried to engrave in his mind-"
"Neither did Thor, honestly my dear, Loki is our son as much as Thor is. Thor considers him his brother and loves him. Loki loves me and deep down he loves you. Why else would he murder his birth father?"
"That was his plan!" Odin objected, "He wanted to manipulate the truth of him letting the Frost Giants into Asgard!"
"He protected you when it came down to the line. He only resents you for lying to him his entire life about his true heritage. You brought him up and made him believe that what he is will always be an enemy of Asgard. He is lost and confused. He was raised Asgardian and struggles with the part of him he believes to be an enemy living in his head."
"Are you telling me I failed him as a father?!" Odin asked raising his voice. Sif stood beside Frigga, reminding Odin to watch what he said and how he spoke to a woman. Instantly he sat back down and tried to calm his voice.
"I said nothing about your parenting. I just beg you to leave Anastasia's past in the past and not to go medaling in her life."
"She is not human!" Odin exclaimed.
"I know she isn't, and I will give you one hint to her true heritage, since you are not very keen in granting such gift. Alflyse." Frigga's robes billowed behind her as she turned to leave the presence of the king, warriors and Heimdall.
"They're supposed to be dead," Hogun said, his voice as stern as bricks.
Sorry this chapter was so short, I felt the need to add something that would be coming up and I needed a good filler, why not make it suspenseful? Tell me what you think! And keep posting comments about the last chapter! Would you want more heartfelt Anastasia/Loki feels moments or what? I'm not sure how many parts I'm going to make, but I love talking to you guys about this! :)
