"Your dorm is top floor, room 395, here is your key. You will have a roommate." The person behind the counter speaks monotony. Sakura grins widely, grabbing the key that was handed to her. "Thank you!"
Sakura picks up her bags and heads towards the elevators, not hiding her excitement as she thinks about her roommate.
"A friend!" She speaks to herself quietly. There were others in the elevator as well, some excited and some looking like they're miserable. She shrugs.
The elevator stops at the top floor and the remaining people fled, wanting to avoid the traffic in the halls. Sakura also walks out, looking at the signs that show which dorms are where. She sees the sign '380-400' that pointed down a hall, and she immediately headed down that way.
Needless to say, Sakura was excited and over-joyed to finally be here.
"Join the Cadets! Konoha University needs you!" A girl with two buns atop her head shoves a flyer in Sakura's hands.
"Cadets? Oh no, I already have what I need planned. Thank you anyway."
"That's alright, was worth a shot. I'm TenTen, nice to meet you!" She greets, giving Sakura an eye-crinkling smile.
"I'm Sakura. Nice to meet you, too." Sakura shakes her hand. "Well, I will see you around. We should hang out sometime!" They bid their goodbyes and go their separate ways, TenTen still giving random people flyers. Sakura shakes her head, a small smile on her lips. She puts her key in the keyhole, opening the door. She quickly grabs her stuff and looks inside to see a girl with dark hair sitting at the desk, drawing, by the window. She didn't notice Sakura standing by the door.
"Hello! I'm Sakura, your roommate!" She greets loudly. The girl jumps, surprised.
"I didn't see or hear you come in, I'm sorry! Let me help you." She scrambles to get up, a blush spread across her cheeks.
"It's alright, I got it. I'm Sakura Haruno, and I will be staying with you."
"I'm Hinata Hyuga." She replies, smiling.
They talked while they unpacked and set up their room. They talked about their classes, backgrounds, lives, and just about anything.
"Well, I'm done unpacking. Would you wanna go look around the campus?" Sakura asks as she puts her last pillow on her single bed.
"I would enjoy that." Hinata pulls her long hair out of her ponytail and grabs her purse.
Her and Sakura head down to the lobby. Hinata says she already made some friends and would like to introduce Sakura to them. Sakura was nervous, to say the least.
They make their way to a cafe where Hinata's friends said they were at.
"Ino! Rin!" Hinata calls, waving at them.
"Hinata, hey!" The girl with short brown hair speaks, giving a quick hug to Hinata before her attention goes to Sakura.
"How rude of me! I'm sorry, I'm Rin Nohara, and this is Ino Yamanaka. She would greet but she's too busy sulking over a boy," Rin shakes her head and rolls her eyes at her friend. "but nice to meet you." She gives a hand out to Sakura to shake.
"He was the one!" Ino cries, banging her head on the table.
Sakura giggles. "I'm Sakura Haruno, I'm Hinata's roommate."
They all chatted for what seemed like hours but it was only 45 minutes.
"So, Sakura, see any cute boys yet?" Ino smirks suggestively. Sakura blushes, but shakes her head. She has no time for guys.
"No, I haven't. But what about you girls? I'm sure you already have." Sakura changes the attention to them, a blush still faint on her cheeks.
"I actually came here with my boyfriend," now it was Rin's turn to blush. "his name is Kakashi Hatake." Sakura could tell by the way she talks about him that she was head-over-heels. Ino squinted at Rin, as if she was confused. She was about to speak but Hinata had cut her off.
"I actually ran into someone earlier -- literally." Hinata laughs softly before going on about what happened. "His names Naruto."
The bell above the door tings and it catches Sakura's attention. She turns and looks but sees that the person was already looking her way. She blushes and turns back to her friends.
The raven haired boy smirks, checking her out before going to the till to order.
"Name, please?" The barista asks.
"Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha."
