After Tadashi was allowed to come home, Hiro found him sitting on the edge of his bed with his shirt off, attempting to change clothes. The bandages were gone, but the scars were not. They covered his back and his right arm, heaviest where the beam had hit him. Always the younger brother, Hiro's curiosity got the best of him.

"They look bad." He said quietly.

"They are." Tadashi replied.

"Do they hurt?"

"No." Tadashi said. "Not anymore."

"I know Christmas was a month ago," Hiro started, "but I have a present for you."

"Hiro, you didn't--" Tadashi turned around. "What's that?"

It was a pair of white metal boots with red lights on them, legs really. Hiro stood next to them proudly.

"Baymax helped me design them." He explained. "He showed me everything that went wrong when the beam fell on you. I worked out the rest."

"Hiro--"

"Put them on!" He carried them over to his brother's side of the room. "I wanna see if they work."

"Hiro, I don't want to get my hopes up." Tadashi sighed. But he put them on anyway.

"Okay." Hiro said standing back. "To turn them on, you push this button here and then you just...stand up..."

Tadashi tried to push himself off the bed with no luck. Hiro rushed toward him and pulled him up.

"I'm standing?" Tadashi whispered in awe as Hiro let go. He took a few steps. "Walking?"

Hiro beamed at his brother.

Tadashi had tears in his eyes. He pulled his brother into a hug.

"Woah, you alright there?" Hiro asked.

"I knew you could use that big brain of yours."
