Never Forget - (Sans X Reader)

Chapter 7: Fear and Worry

You slowly awake on a bed in a room. You sit wondering where you are, you remember getting hit by the bone Sans probably threw at you. You hear Grillby and Sans having a conversation outside near the door.

(G = Grillby and S = Sans)
G: "Sans, it was totally unnecessary of you to knock them out."

S: "Papyrus wasn't there."

G: "That doesn't give you the right to knock them out. You and me both know that Papyrus wasn't killed in snowdin. He was killed in the forest where you found his scarf."

There's silence from what seems like forever until you hear Sans okay and the door slowly opens. Grillby and Sans both walk in, Grillby gives you a small smile but Sans stares at you with no expression. "Did I do something wrong?" Grillby looks at Sans then leaves the room leaving you and Sans alone. Sans grabs a chair and brings it over to the bed were you are. He sits down and looks at you.

"I'm sorry for hitting you with a bone. Things just haven't gotten better here since...the last time I saw you."

"The last time? I don't remember ever being here." You sit there unaware of what he means by last time.

"You don't remember?...Chara must have wiped your memory..."

He looks down at the floor. "...I get these...dreams...or memories....of the things I must have done when I was here...maybe something is trying to remind me?" He looks at you and nods slightly. "Why did you attack me?"

"...in the past...the last time you came...you..."

"...killed everyone." He looks at you with shock. "I remember seeing myself kill...that goat lady in the ruins...Toriel." He looks down and mumbles something to himself. You feel a wave of sadness and fear hit you hard. You hold your head feeling the throw up feeling again. You feel dizzy and you start having trouble breathing. "What's happening? Is this from earlier when I brought the monsters back?" Sans looks at you with a worried expression, he grabs your shoulders and shakes you a bit to try to keep you from passing out. It doesn't work and you soon pass out after hearing Sans yell for Grillby.

You wake up sitting on a chair in Grillby's. You look around to see Sans and Grillby next to you. Sans sitting beside you smiling and Grillby on the other side of the counter talking to Sans and you. You can't hear anything, you can't even move. Sans puts his arm around your waist, he smiles and laughs and continues talking to Grillby. Everything is so nice and peaceful, it's unlike ever other dream or memory you've had. Until, everything turns black and you hear Chara's demonic voice.

"It's hard to believe you were ever such a nice person before you met me."

"No...please stop...I'm nothing like you, im not a murderer!" You scream at Chara.

"We'll see about that. Just you wait, you can't stop me and I know you won't hurt Frisk. Good luck, partner."

You wake up gasping for air. Sans and Grillby are over you with worried looks. Their voices are blurred out for a bit until you can focus. Flowey and Kid are in the room too looking at you with fear on their faces. You slowly sit up, Sans and Grillby help you sit up. You look at Sans, your breath is heavy and it's hard to breath for a while. Sans is next to you, you lean against him as you try to calm your breathing. Sans flinched but stays there, he wraps his arm around you to keep you from falling.

"Kid? Are you okay?"

Sans voice seems almost completely calming to you, it's hard for you to answer but you manage. "I...saw a memory....but...then...Chara came..." You can tell that Sans looks at Grillby. "They..." Sans looks at you.

"It's okay kid, you don't need to say anything else. You need to breathe normally, in and out."

You do as he says and breathe normally. Your eyes feel heavy but you keep yourself awake, you're filled with fear that if you go to sleep you won't wake up. Sans gently and slowly runs his hand through your hair to calm you down. It works in a way, you look at Flowey and Kid who are sitting in a chair near the bed looking at you. Grillby leaves the room and comes back with some water. You take it and drink some. Everyone has seemed to calm down now that you are awake and breathing normally.

"Kid? You feeling okay now?"

You look up at Sans, he's looking at you with a scared and worried look. You nod and look down taking deep breaths. Flowey hops over to you and is now in front of you. He hugs you, you can see that Sans in confused beyond belief as Flowey hugs you. You sit up and hug back, you can feel Flowey's tears steam down his face which is against your body.
Sans slowly let's go of you when you sit up.

"You had me so worried (y/n)."

"I'm sorry Flowey...I'm not sure what happened." Flowey slowly let's go and you wipe his tears away.

"Yo (y/n), are you gonna be okay?"

You look at monster kid and smile. You nod, you can flowey thinks otherwise.

"You should rest."

Grillby pats you on the head and gently takes Flowey. Flowey, Grillby, and Kid all leave the room. Sans sits down in the chair near the bed. You lay down and face towards Sans. Sans places his arms on the bed and places his head on them. You both are looking at each other. You reach your hand up to him and he gently takes it.

"Don't worry kid, as long as I'm here...Chara can't take you away again. I promise."

"You promised last time and look where that got you Sans. They will die before they can stop me, everyone will die and the world will be nothing more than a huge piece of rock with nothing living on it."
