Imitations

He sits there watching her

Admiring every aspect

Taking in her every movement

Relishing every second

She sits there unnoticed

Quiet and Mum

Not making eye contact

For fear of rebound

Rebound, rebound

To the dark days gone

The storm behind her eyes

That glisten of the past

He knows not of this

She knows he watches

But she would dare not accept him

For fear of breaking another heart
