(Robin's POV)

We were getting back from a mission when my communicator went off. It was Batman.

"Robin, we need you in Gotham. And I mean only you." he specified when I answered.

"Why do you want me? You have Batgirl." I knew he only asked for my help when it was serious.

"The Joker has her. And he has help. Just get here as fast as you can." and then he signed off.

I went to my room to pack. The team will wonder where I'm going though. But I have to keep this mission classified.

(Starfire's POV)

I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. When I was done, I called my friends. Friend Robin did not come, though. I went to get him since it was the time of eating. I got to his room and knocked on the door.

"Friend Robin?"I called. I received no answer. I knocked again. Still no answer. I opened the door and was in shock. No Robin.

"Yo! Star! Aren't you coming to eat?" Cyborg yelled from the kitchen.

All I could do was stand there in shock. I thought Robin would not do this to me. We are the best of friends.

While I was thinking to myself, my team mates came up behind me and shook me out of my thoughts.

"Starfire, are you okay?" Raven asked, snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"He is gone. He left." I mumbled. I was looking at the floor.

"Why would he just leave without telling us?" Cyborg asked, turning to leave the room. Beast Boy and Raven followed him and I was left standing there.

(Robin's POV)

I was on my R-cycle, half way to Gotham. I was in my civilian clothes with shades on so no criminals get any ideas. But I felt bad. I never left like this without telling the team. And Star was surely mad or disappointed. I thought about telling her, but Batman would want it kept classified until after the mission is over.

Once I got to Gotham, I headed for Wayne Manor. I was there in under eight minutes. I parked my motorcycle and walked up to the door. I rang the bell and sure enough, Alfred came.

"Ah, Master Richard. Master Bruce is expecting you." Alfred greeted, standing tall. I always admired him. He stood aside and let me in.

"Thank you very much." I thanked him and walked in. I took a lot of turns down hallways until I cam across the room I was looking for. It was a very dusty room. It had an old piano. I walked over to it and pushed the notes for the secret passage way to the Batcave. Once it opened, I walked down the spiral staircase.

"When I got to the bottom, Batman was at the computer. I'm guessing tracking down the Joker.

"So, what's the plan?" I wanted information. The sooner I get it, the sooner this mission is over.

"Where's your 'Robin' suit?" He countered.

"I asked first." I argued. I learned this from him.

"Find the Joker, put in jail or the psycho ward, and get Barbara (Batgirl) back." he answered my question, still focused on the screen.

"My disguise is in my bag in the hidden compartment of my bike." I answered. All of a sudden, a noise came from his computer. We found the Joker.

"Let's go. Get your suit on." he commanded, pulling his mask over his head. I ran to my bike to get it on. Once I did, we were off.
