♥ Jamie’s POV: ♥ 

The doorbell rang at about midnight, and I was still somewhat wide awake as I watched reruns of Family Guy, cuddling a pillow while Jason slept in his room.

Lazily throwing the blanket off my body, I forced myself to stand up and approach the front door, sliding it open to reveal a wasted Justin leaning on Noah for support.

“Hey,” Noah awkwardly smiled at me. “He’s, umm—”

“—Drunk?” I asked, smirking at him. Noah laughed and nodded while I opened the door wider so that they could both come in. “Just bring him in here. Settling on the couch is fine.”

“Alright,” he said, doing as he was told. Justin was mumbling things about hockey while Noah gently put him down on the couch.

“What if there were five pucks?” Justin slurred, glancing at Noah and I. “Six players. Five pucks.”

“Jesus Christ,” I muttered under my breath, trying hard not to laugh at him.

Noah snorted a laugh before turning around and facing me. “Chaz took Ryan home, I think he’ll be fine.”

“Sounds good,” I smiled. “Thank you so much for bringing him home.”

“No problem,” he smiled back, “He actually behaved this time.”

My smile faded.

Oh… Right.

That time when he cheated on me.

“Fuck, I didn’t mean to—…”

“—No, that’s okay. Really, I’m fine, I just… It’s late and I’m tired,” I said, mentally slapping myself after I had said it.

Smooth, Jamie. Smoooth.

“Well, then get some rest,” Noah nodded slightly, waving at me as he reached the front door.

“Will do,” I waved back. “Take care.”

And before I knew it, it was just Justin and I.

Justin stood up and was about to walk towards me before I stopped him, pushing him back on the couch and sitting next to him.

“Uh uh,” I shook my head in disapproval. “You stay right there. Don’t move.”

“But baby…” he leaned close to my ear, his hot breath reeked of alcohol as he pushed my hair back to reveal my neck, “I love you.”
