As a child, I feared you and never wanted to meet you
You drove humanity insane by just your name
Humanity depicted you as terrifying and a nightmare
Some waited for you patiently
I was hoping to never cross path with you
Years have passed and I started a family of my own
I knew if I met you now, you would make them cry
Throughout the years, I laughed, I smiled, I ran, I met new people
However, I have cried more than smile
I been sadder than happy
I learned that in this world, you are the only escape
I somewhat envy you, and yearn your company
Erase my sadness, erase my problems
Take me to a blissful journey
On my departure, my family will cry
But once I take a step forward, I will be forgotten by all but remember by few
You are the truth everyone keeps avoiding
Nightmares do come true
But hurt me with the truth
Rather than comfort me with a lie
