I made my way to my car after Max told me that I'll be racing now. I look around as I'm walking to my car for Theo just to let him know I'm going to race but his nowhere in sight.
I actually wanted him to see me race, well at least cross the finish line. After I get to my car I reach for my leather jacket, grey hoodie and mask. I take the mask for the hell of it since they already know who I am.
I slip my jersey off and replace it with the hoodie and and leather jacket pulling the mask on and the hood over tucking in my hair. I pull down my sun visor to see my reflection and I straighten myself up until I hear them call for the racers.
I start my engine, it roars to life and I smirk at the sound of my baby.
This will never get old.
I drive through the crowd, them moving back giving me space to drive between them. They tap on the back of my car cheering me on as they crowd behind me and follow me to the starting line.
As pissed as I am that they were hitting on the back of my car, I felt pretty good with the amount of people that support me and cheered me on.
I press the button and my window comes down and let's me see my opponents. I see none other then the Duffies.
"We payed good money to race you Babe! Don't let us down." I hear Duffy shouting from his car.
I turn forward and rev my engine responding to him I turn to him again with a full smirk, he nods catching my drift.
I hear them both start revving their car as Max walks between the three of us. He waves his hands seizing the noise from the Duffies as well as the crowd.
"This is a sprint and it's a new track, so just follow the route and you'll be alright." He walks off the track and stands on the side amongst the crowd.
A long legged girl with light pink hair struts infront of my car until she stands between us.
"Engines at the ready!" She sways her body left.
"Set!" She sways her body right, ever so confidently.
"Go!" She sways her body so that she's standing up straight.
We speed off and I see in my rear view mirror the way her skirt blows up as we drive off.
Maybe cover your ass next time.
I bring my focus to the sprint going on, I take note that I'm behind Duffy.
"His good." I take a mental note and mumble loudly. I look in my side mirror to see Alistair behind me, finally. Staring at the girls ass left him behind in the race.
I slowly apply pressure on the accelerator, gradually speeding up. I stay behind Duffy drafting and preparing to slingshot past him. I keep behind him, letting him enjoy the taste of being in front. I see a turn up ahead and take this as a chance to speed past him.
He takes the corner sharp and I drop the gear and pull up my hand break drifting widely around the corner, I shift a gear up and slam my foot down on the accelerator speeding off and past him. I keep my foot down on the accelerator increasing my speed.
I look in my rear view to see the Duffies far behind me. I decide to give the people a show. I keep my speed, pushing my car trying to clock the speed, I see the finishing line, I'm going 260 mph. In the highest gear and just a few metres away, I put my foot fully down on the accelerator.
275 mph, I smirk proudly as the cheers from the crowd fill my ears, I see the finishing line in my view. I slowly lift my foot off the accelerator slowing down as I drop a gear and drift over the finishing line allowing my tires to screech on the track letting my smoke and tire marks trail behind me.
