(HELLO! I WILL ADD MUSIC AGAIN TO LISTEN TO DURING THE STORY!)
"But Mommy," Natasha pouted. "I don't want to go to kindergarten!" Christie just sighed and forced her daughter into the blue parka that she had bought weeks before just so she would look nice.
"You will go and do good Tasha," Christie told her daughter. Natasha slumped into the parka and jumped into her car seat.
When they reached the school.
Cristie unbuckled and got out of the car. She opened the back door to find her daughter screaming and kicking. "I just don't get why I have to go to this place when I am purr-fectly happy at home," Natasha cried. Cristie smirked at what her daughter had just said.
"Did you just make a cat pun Tasha?" she asked. "What's a pun mommy? They sound punny!" Natasha stared at her mother in confusion and confidence.
"Never mind hun. Let's get you inside."
"Ok mommy!"
Christie and Natasha walked through the front doors to the office. " Hello Cristie and Natasha. Welcome back!" the lady at the front desk said. "It's good to be back," Christie said, looking at Natasha giving her a grin. "Ya. Sure," Tasha said in a mumble.
¨Ok Natasha come with me," the woman said as she grabbed Natasha's hand.
She led Natasha upstairs to her classroom. Since Natasha was such a Ms. Know- It- All, she turned her head and saw Milo waiting for her as she walked to her classroom. He was always waiting.
Because he loved her.
(Author's note: We all know who he ends up with though. Just a cute kindergarten crush.)
"Hey Nat!" Milo said as she walked in. "Do you have the goods?" Natasha asked him. He secretly pulled out a fruit snack packet. "You get it when I get what you said you'd bring," Milo countered. Natasha slipped a pop tart out from her coat pocket.
The two traded.
"Until next time," Natasha said, winking. "Until next time," Milo said.
The two ran inside laughing and running around.
The teacher saw as the kids ran in the door laughing mischievously. "What have you kids been up to?"
"Tasha just said a really funny pun!" Milo said immediately after the teacher asked.
"I still don't know what a pun is!" Natasha yelled in agony. Milo just snickered at Tasha's response. "I don't!" Natasha said truthfully.
"Well, it is craft time, so go and take a seat," the teacher instructed. "Yes Ms. Manny," Natasha and Milo both said in unison.
The two tricksters ran and took their seats.
"Today," Ms. Manny said. "We are going to be using crayons to draw what we want to be in the future. After you are done, we are all going to share with the class."
Natasha jumped up and ran towards the crayon box. She came back with a handful of crayons. So many that she couldn't carry them all. She had three sticking out of her mouth. She dropped all of them on the table in front of Milo.
"I am not using those," Milo said, pointing the the three that had been in her mouth. Natasha just laughed and started to color on a piece of paper.
After a few minutes, Natasha showed Milo her drawing. "What is it?" Milo asked, confused.
The drawing was of a stick figure with rainbow arms and legs. The person had little red horns on top and the was holding onto a rainbow staff. "I'm a superhero!" Natasha said, excited.
"It looks like a baby drawn that," a girl said as she walked over. She had dark brown eyes and long black hair in a bun. "Why do you care so much?" Milo asked. "Ya Jezebele," Ms. Manny said, walking over. "Oh SNAP!" Natasha said clutching her picture.
"I'm just saying that Natalia should draw a reasonable thing, instead of a superhero," Jezebele stated. "Natasha," Natasha corrected. "Bless you," Jezebele said. "Anyway Ms. M, I drew a lawyer for my person!"
"Good job Jess! Let me see!" Ms. Manny said as Jezebele led her to her seat across the room.
Natasha turned toward Milo and asked "I thought it was drawn? But Jezebele said drew. Which is it?"
"Drew."
"Why didn't you tell me Milo?"
"I didn't want to hurt your feelings."
Natasha smirked. "You know how tough I am Milo," she said as she slugged him in the shoulder.
Milo rubbed his shoulder. Little did Natasha know that he was on the verge of crying. Why? Because Natasha had just punched him. Really hard. But he didn't cry because he didn't want to seem weak with a tough girl around. He knew if he did show his weakness, she would never let it go.
"RECESS KIDS!" Ms. Manny rang out.
Those were the magic words in kindergarten. Once said, the innocent kids turned into rampaging animals. Ms. Manny had been teaching kindergarten for five years, so she knew to take cover.
Natasha and Milo were in the middle of the classroom. On the ground. "MILO!" Natasha yelled as she got swallowed by the wave of children. "NATASHA!" Milo yelled back, holding her hand. "I'LL NEVER LET GO!"
Well we all know that they didn't fall off of a boat and die, so after the crowd subsided, they went to the swings.
Natasha jumped on the swings and yelled "Push me Milo!" She put her hand on her head desperately. "I'm too weak to do it myself!"
"You always say that!" Milo said, running over. Milo pushed her on the swing until she was high enough to go on her own. Milo called over the recess teacher and he was swinging high in no time.As they were swinging, Natasha looked over to see a small girl looking at them. She had big blue eyes and short blonde hair.
"Who is that?" Natasha asked Milo.
"I don't know?"
"Should we invite her over?"
"Nah! She wouldn't get anything we say or do."
"True! Well, what should we call her. We don't know her name, so let's call her something!"
Milo kept staring. "She's kind of creepy," he said.
Natasha's face lit up. "I know!" she blurted out. "Creepy Callie!"
Milo stared at his friend. "We will never forget this triumphant moment, will we?" Natasha looked back at him. "Of course not! Who could forget that face!"
