"hey your the new girl"

Jonah walks in college as one of his friends Derek call him out.

"Yo Jonah, what's up man."

"Nothing much, "

"Hey did you go to Lindsay's party yesterday, I heard it was awesome."

"No, you know I don't like parties."

"Of course your an introvert, whatever anyway did you see the new girl,"

"No, did you?"

"No but I hear she's really geeky and stuff, me being popular can't talk to her I will lose my status my rep is talking to cheerleaders and looking as amazing as I always do so I won't talk to her",

" you shouldn't be like that Derek, I am going to talk to her".

"No man well don't talk to me today,"

Jonah walks away from Derek looking for the new girl. When he sees her she is sitting by a table by herself. At the same time she looks up and sees him. He smiles and she looks down thinking he was going to tell her something bad as everyone else in the school already made fun of her but she was surprised when he sat next to her and stretched out his hand saying,

"Hi, my name is Jonah Phillips, your the new girl right?"

She nods as her blond hair is in a messy pony tail and she stretches out her hand with a smile saying,

"Yes, I am my name is Amy Cortez, not that I am being rude but why did you come to talk to me everyone else is pretty much avoiding me because I have glasses and I am what they call geeky so why are you different."

"Because I don't like to judge based on appearances, besides you look like fun, let's just say I know what it is to be different and not be liked by everyone. I am now the quarterback of the football team but it wasn't always like that."

"Thanks, I really appreciate it."

"Do you......."

Someone cut Jonah of and called him out in the distance. He looked away nodding at the person who called him. Then he looked back at Amy and said,

"Well I gotta go we will catch up whenever we see each other again, I guess."

She smiled with a small wave as he got up and left.

She let out a deep breath and was a little glad since that was the closest thing to a friend she made all day.
After she went to her literature class and when she walked in the class a  familiar voice called her out. When she looked she saw it was Jonah. She smiled shyly as he directed her to the seat next to him. He smiled and said, 

"Hi, I didn't know you did literature."

"Well I do I love books and especially poetry it allows me to pour my feelings in a paper with using metaphors so technically I am telling the reader what I feel but indirectly."

"Wow that's amazing", were all the words he could say as he sat watching her for more than five minutes knowing he felt the same.

After five minutes of silence she laughed and faced the teacher. Her movements brought him back to reality. And he shifted and laughed to himself.

" so its pretty clear we are friends now so would you like to come watch a movie with me later."
His eyes searching for the answer.

"Ummmmmmm," she said teasingly,"sure".

He smiled and looked back to the teacher speaking.
After class was finished they walked out together. Jonah left Derek and he had lunch in the cafeteria with Amy.
