I Don't Jump in Puddles Anymore

A heart lost of its youth
A body lost of its innocence
As our lives sweep us away to every next event, smaller things become distant and insignificant
Do you know when you stopped jumping in puddles?
I don't either.

Today it rained
And on my slippery overpass
I walked in a puddle
I did not jump,
But merely stepped
And from that simple step I was liberated.
