   "how do you know these things, kid?" Sans asked me, inching closer. I pulled Max and (YN) closer to me. He could hurt me all he wanted, but he wasn't gonna lay a bony finger on them.

   "I know you, Sans. Let's just leave it at that."

   "T-Max, what's going on?" (YN) asked. I ruffled her hair.

   "Don't worry about it. Now Sans, we should be going, right?" I gave him a death glare not to tell them anything.

   "sure, kiddo. go ahead and walk right through the bars. my bro made them too wide to stop anyone."

   Heh, sounds like Papyrus. I thought.

   We walked through the bars to be acquainted with a sentry station and a blue and purple lamp, shaped surprisingly like (YN).

   "quick! hide behind that conveniently-shaped lamp!" Sans panicked. Max and (YN) quickly rushed behind the lamp.

   "and you," he came up behind me. "should be just fine where you are."

   "Don't you dare say it, Sans. If they hear anything, I'll kill you. Again." I threatened.

   I soon heard achingly familiar footsteps in the snow.

   "SANS!"

   Called it.

   "what's up bro?"

   "YOU KNOW 'WHAT'S UP' BROTHER!" Papyrus yelled. "YOU JUST SIT HERE AND HANG OUTSIDE YOUR STATION! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?"

   "staring at this lamp. you wanna look?"

   "NO! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT! I HAVE TO CAPTURE A HUMAN! I WILL BE THE ONE! I MUST BE THE ONE! I WILL CAPTURE A HUMAN!"

   Why doesn't Papyrus see me as a human like before? If he doesn't, that means nobody else will, either. And they'll just target Max and (YN). Oh no...

   "maybe this lamp can help you."

   "Or maybe not." I growled under my breath.

   "UGH! I MUST ATTEND TO MY PUZZLES NOW. AND AS FOR YOUR WORK, PUT A LITTLE MORE 'BACK-BONE' INTO IT!" Papyrus takes off.

   "you kids can come out now."

   (YN) and Max both came out, giggling.

   "i'll see ya kids up ahead." Sans walked backwards into the forest.

   "I guess we should keep going, then." Max said, putting a hand on (YN)'s shoulder while she played in the snow.

   I can't let them find out...not this way...Undyne, Alphys, everyone else...they can't tell Max and (YN)...

   Or they'll be eliminated...
