One Max, Two Max (Mithzan/Max x Reader)

"T-Max! That's rude!" (YN) scolded me.

I shrugged, not caring at all. She huffed and turned back to Toriel.

"May we have some food, ma'am?" (YN) asked again.

"Oh yes! I almost forgot. I will get you food from the kitchen. Come with if you'd like." Toriel walked off to the kitchen, (YN) trailing behind her.

Max and I looked at each other.

"We need to leave." I said plainly.

"We can't. Not yet." he whispered. At least he was intent on leaving with me.

Toriel and (YN) came back into the room with three slices of pie. (YN) handed Max a slice, and Toriel handed me my slice.

"Butterscotch-cinnamon pie!" (YN) had a slice, too.

I signaled Max to take her to the room while I "talk" to Toriel. He nodded, pulling (YN) down the hallway.

I looked back up to Toriel, who had already sat back down in her chair.

"Do you need something, my child?" Toriel asked me. I scoffed.

"How do we leave the ruins?" I stared at her plainly.

"Um...how about you go play instead?" it seemed as if she knew I was up to something.

"How do we exit the ruins?" I asked again.

She got up out of her chair. "I will be right back. Stay here."

Of course, I didn't trust her. So I followed her down the creepy stairs until I faced a purple corridor. I kept following her until we came to a large purple door.

"You wish to leave, do you not?" she asked me, turning to face me.

I pulled out my toy knife I found.

"Fight me to prove to me that you can survive alone." she and I entered a FIGHT.

I reached for the FIGHT button, pressing it fiercely. A sweet 37 HP was taken from her.

I kept FIGHTing her until she had barely any HP left. I was about to strike my final blow, until I was pushed away from the FIGHT button. In my place, I saw (YN), tears pouring from her eyes. She put a hand on the MERCY button. Her sparing was accepted by Toriel. (YN) broke the wall of the arena that blocks us from Toriel. She hugs her like she's known her throughout her whole entire life.

"Thank you, my child..." Toriel whispered in a hoarse voice. (YN) continued to cry in her arms.

I got up off the ground and looked over to Max, who I just now noticed was standing there.

"She saved her..." I whispered to him. He nodded.

"She has a very strong soul." Max stared at (YN) and Toriel, who were still in each other's embrace.

The walls of the arena disappeared, and (YN) had parted from Toriel's arms.

Toriel had walked over to me like nothing had happened.

"I know how much you want to leave." She got on one knee and put her hands on my shoulders. "I will not stop you. However, if you leave, please do not come back."

Guilt started to crawl up my chest as Toriel walked away.

"C'mon, T-Max. Time to go." Max grabbed my hand and started to walk out the door. (YN) followed behind, her head held low.

We emerged into another dark room. Flowey was in the small patch of grass in the center of the room.

"You." he signaled to (YN). She looked up, her eyes red from crying.

Flowey cackled loudly. "You must feel really great, for sparing the life of a single person. And you." he then signaled to me.

"You really wanted to kill her, huh?" he grinned, and I scoffed at him. "We should work together sometime."

I looked at (YN). She scolded me. Before I could tell Flowey "no", he had already left.

Max pulled me and (YN) through the other door. A bright light shined in our eyes.
