Never Tired ( Acrostic Poem )
Never Tired - An Acrostic Poem
To that person, I bow down
kneel on knees, my eyes with praise
for he never gets tired, of work; of life; admirable.
In the farm, lost in those green beds
paddy; potatoes and pumpkins, he raises,
is his thin shaky outline, reflected by sun-blaze.
Rest, he has never stepped into that shed
stir; sow and seed, this is all he ever does
though his muscles crank and sweat waters the crops.
Energy seeps out of his cramped self
as his bony hands hold the heavy sickle tight
and sense of pride fills me, as an old memory drifts.
Don't you feel tired, of this; of all?
asked; I did, and to this he had replied -
tired and vexed, I shall be then...when I expire.
