Ron
I'd fallen asleep immediately when I arrived at my room (the teachers had been too busy "searching" for Ginny to punish me), and was just now waking up.
I muttered a quick swear, and threw on my clothes, rushing down for breakfast. Harry had always been my alarm clock, and now he was... gone.
Left, possessed, kidnapped, the rumours were relentless. It helped when I sat down next to her Hermione. Her face was drawn tight, and her eggs were being pushed around, but she was beautiful nonetheless.
Woah! Ronald! Where did that come from? You keep these thoughts, and the twins will tease you to death and beyond.
"So, Hermione..." I tried making conversation, but my voice trailed off. There was much to discuss, yet none of it could be spoken here. She looked up at me and whispered. "Let's go to the library, learn a little more about our... visitors." I gave a short nod and we slipped out of the Great Hall.
Hermione sighed, and ran a hand through her tangled hair. "Nothing here says anything about these demigods. All of the ones mentioned are from ancient times."
"They're all heroes or villains. Like Hercules. The demigods that are coming, do you think they'll be good or bad?" She shrugged, not bothering to glance up. "It doesn't matter. They're our only source of information on Harry, at least for now." I agreed, and we continued reading, deeming it unnecessary to go to class with the matters at hand.
LINE BREAK
I heard it first, a faint rumble. Hermione shot up, confused, and we ran outside, where others had gathered. Above us was... warship? Wait, was this their idea of subtle? My God! Or, gods, whatever.
A rope ladder descended from the ship, and nine fit, very good looking people climbed down, their hands raised as a sign of peace against the wizards and witches, who now had their wands drawn.
A blonde stepped forward and opened her mouth, but a brunette in the back shouted "Where's Leo?!"
A bronze slide spiraled out from the starboard side, and a Mexican boy with lithe muscles slid down, ending with an exaggerated bow.
"Hello Earthlings! My name is Leo McShizzle Valdez, otherwise known as Hot Stuff by the ladies." He wiggled his eyebrows, and the brunette smacked him on the back of the head.
"But, uh, I'm taken. Sorry." The blonde spoke again. "Okay, not all of us are like that. Mostly. Anyways, my name is Annabeth Chase, and we," she gestured to the demigods, "have come here to help you find your friend Harry. Does anyone know where Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger are?"
I raised my hand, and the crowd parted like the Red Sea. We walked through, ignoring the whispers. Hermione shook Annabeth's hand, and the others introduced themselves.
"So, what're your, uh, powers?" I asked. Hermione groaned, Annabeth sighed, and Leo grinned and moved forward.
"Well, you see, I'm one of the rare Fire users, a son of Hephaestus." "You're also one of the rare pests that I haven't stabbed." Piper called, and everyone oohed.
Leo grimaced, but held out his hand. Sweet, orange flames danced down his arm, and settled into his palm. Then, they turned white-hot, and the blast of wind blew my hair back.
"Cool." After that, Jason flew, Reyna demonstrated her shielded cloak, Frank shape shifted into a (really cute) bulldog, Will gave himself a small cut and healed it, and Hazel summoned a diamond.
"What can you guys do?" I asked Annabeth, Nico, Calypso, and Piper. Annabeth explained that her and Calypso had no powers, but Piper stepped forward.
"I can charmspeak." I frowned. "What does that mean?" "I can tell you to do something and you have to do it."
"Oh, yeah?" I heard someone shout. It was George. "Prove it. Make Ronny boy do something." She walked over to him, and said "Do a cartwheel into the lake."
George sprinted off, and when he reached the edge of the lake, did a gold-medal worthy cartwheel into the water.
At the splash, I noticed Annabeth frown, and her eyes became distant. "So, yeah." Piper said. "That's what I can do." Nico came to the front now, and said "I can shadow travel."
Before I had a chance to question what that was, Will shouted "Oh no, you don't!" Nico's eyes widened, and he vanished. I blinked in surprise, and Will looked frustrated. "Gah! Death Breath is gonna get himself killed!" Death Breath?
Nico appeared behind Will, and jumped on his back. "Nico!" He shouted. "Are you twelve?!" "Yeah, on a scale of one to ten." Hermione chuckled, and I smiled. She hadn't been happy since Harry left.
"Okay, well this is Hogwarts, and-" "Hogwarts?!" Leo shouted. "Are you serious? What's in Ireland, Pigzits?" Frank then changed into a boar with a serious acne problem, and the rest of us died too. "Looks like Ares hit puberty!" That brought on a new round of laughter from the demigods.
The wizards were laughing just as hard, though slightly confused. "Ow, Draco! Watch where you step!" Annabeth held up a hand, and everyone quieted.
"Draco?" I turned, and saw Draco emerge from the crowd. His normally slicked back hair was ruffled, and his face was red. "Drakey!" Annabeth squealed. She ran at him and tackled him, and they fell to the ground laughing.
"I told you not to call me that," he muttered, and she giggled as they stood. "It's good to see you again." "Again? When was the first time you had the... er... pleasure of meeting?"
"Drakey here is a demigod, a son of Hermes. Now," she held her hand out expectedly, "wallet." He grinned and placed a soft, leathered wallet in her hand. The grey colour matched her eyes.
"So, why were you mean to us?" I asked. Annabeth whipped around. "Draco Leslie
(A/N idk what his middle name is but yeah... comment if you know) Malfoy! After our little pranking incidents I expected you to be nicer!" I stifled a giggle. "Leslie?"Draco's face turned beet red. "Annie," he stuttered. "I had to. It's part of being a 'pure blood.'" He made air quotes at "pure blood," and Annabeth sighed.
"Whatever. Right now we need to find Percy." "And Harry!" Hermione called. "Yeah, him too." She seemed lost in thought, until someone screamed "Death Eater!" All the demigods launched into a fighting posture, with their weapons drawn.
Above was a boy with shaggy black hair, black eyes, black wings, and a nice tan. Wait. Wings! Like the girl, uh, Maximum!
He put his hands up. "Woah, calm down. I'm looking for someone. Any chance you know of a girl named Max? She has blonde hair, pretty tall, wings... you can't miss her!" He landed now, but Annabeth kept her dagger level to his throat.
"My name is Fang. And, like I said, I'm looking for Maximum. Maximum Ride."
