1:00 am
Samuel sat on her bed, looking through videos and doing art. She came over a weather report. Strong winds with ice rain. She shut her laptop and drifted to a light slumber.
2:47
Samuel awoke to the branches smacking against her window, and the hard pitter patter of rain. She walked to her window, she pulled back the curtain and pulled up the blinds. She looked outside. It had snowed the week before, so snow blanketed her large yard. She saw as a bolt of lighting flashed across the dark blue sky. She grabbed her jacket and ran down the stairs. She opened the screen door. She walked out, her slippers sinking into the crunchy snow. She yelped as the wind almost blew her down the street. She grabbed onto a concrete piller, holding on for dear life. Her feet lifted off of the ground. She watched in terror as the neighbor's tree was uprooted and threw into the street. Worst of all, it started to hail, hard clumps of ice as big as softballs fell down on poor Samuel. After a while the wind stopped and Samuel ran inside, slamming the door behind her. She picked big pieces of hail out of her hair and put it in the freezer. She walked upstairs and threw her jacket onto the floor and climbed into her warm bed, pulled out her laptop and started to write making sure not to exaggerate when she says 'a raging storm'
