Katelyn's Story - Chapter 26

Katelyn's POV:

Aphmau and I were cleaning up after Kawaii~Chan's surprise party.

It was great!

She was so excited.

Travis avoided me the entire time and everyone was staring at us.

I felt Aphmau's gaze burning into my back.

I flinched when she put her hand on my shoulder.

"Katelyn... oh my gosh you're crying! Katelyn!!"

I started sobbing into her shoulder.

"Katelyn what's wrong?!"

I sniffled and wiped my eyes.

"It's my-my... my..."

"You're WHAT Katelyn?"

"My mom!"

Travis POV:

"Travis what happened between you and Katelyn?"

Aaron asked me.

I sighed.

"I don't know. She's been acting really weird and upset lately."

I shook my head.

"Whenever we're together she always shuts it right down when I flirt or ANYTHING! I thought I was relatively good at flirting!"

Aaron chuckled.

"I get it. Aphmau can get like that sometimes. Is it that-uh... time of the-er month... f-for her-uh.."

"NO. It has been going on for LONGER than that."

Aphmau's POV:

Katelyn shoved her phone in my face.

There were texts from her mom.

There were arguments on there.

Katelyn's own mother was breaking Katelyn.

As I scrolled down they got worse.

I saw some of the worst curse words out there.

I finished and looked at Katelyn.

"She's using me to get to my dad. My dad blocked her and she's trying to get with him again."

Katelyn whimpered.

I gave her a big hug.

"I recommend blocking her too and telling your dad."

Katelyn nodded.

"Thank you Aphmau."

"Anytime Katelyn... But why didn't you want to be near Travis?"

She looked at the ground.

"That's what happened with my parents. They got so close but... after my mom had Kacey... She started leaving often... Because she was having an affair with another man. When she came home my dad had known and they had a huge argument. She had said she didn't l-like our family anymore so she left. When her new husband had found out, he left her as well... And now she's crawling back to us. I-I'm scared it-it runs in my blood..."

Katelyn cried.

"Katelyn you are NOTHING like your mom. If anyone you're like your dad!"

I hugged her.

She wailed.

"Well now Travis must HATE me!"

"No Katelyn."

I held her shoulders.

"He loves you. He cares about you. He has been asking me why you have been upset. He's panicking. Go, go to him."

Katelyn nodded.

"I will. Thank you."

She ran off.
