7 years later..

"Get back here, you lil nugget!" Dan laughed. Phil and his three year old son Winnie, was trying his best to escape bed time. "No dad, no sleepy!" He babbled back between giggles. His blue pair of glasses bobbed on his nose as he ran.

"I'll get you anyways and bury you in cuddles and kisses!" Just as Dan finished the sentence, he snatched the baby boy from his feet and pampered the little face with kisses. "Daad, icky, icky!" Winnie whined with a big smile.

Dan chuckled and sat his son on his hip. Winnie quietly snuggled up into his side and Dan proudly looked down at him. Just as he lifted his gaze again, Phil walked into the room with two mugs. With a loving look on his face, he walked up to the both of them. "That boy really brings out the softest in you."

They walked over to the sofa, Winnie still on Dan's hip. "Guess he learned from the best." All three sat down and the now half-sleeping boy was placed between them. "It's easy to bring out the soft in you." Phil said before taking a sip from his hot chocolate.

Dan grinned and started stroking Winnie over his dark hair. His tiny body sleepily fell over to Phil's side. "I think it's time to get this little bugger to bed." Phil mused with his hand stroking the boy's back. His other hand poked the button nose on the tiny face, and Winnie yawned.

"Daddy!" The little human beamed at the sight of Phil. "Hey, you."

All three of them walked to their shared bedroom, Winnie on Phil's shoulders. Dan walked behind, holding the sleepy little baby butt, so he wouldn't fall off.

Phil lifted the almost sleeping boy over his head, knocking off his glasses. Fortunately they were stood so close to the bed that the glasses fell safely on Winnie's duvet. Dan picked them up and gently placed them on Phil's nose. The shorter kissed the taller on the cheek before putting their son down on the bed. Winnie drowsily crawled under the covers with a content puff of air.

Phil tucked the duvet around him with a toothy smile. He pushed back the slightly curled hair to place a light kiss  to his forehead. "Sleep well, nugget."

Dan did the same and placed a fluffy lion plushie next to him. Winnie's tiny arms wrapped around the animal and a faint smile appeared on his face. "Good night, Winnie."

Dan and Phil smiled at eachother. They were so proud of the little human they'd brought home two and a half years earlier. He had gotten used to having two dads pretty early. The seperation between the two with "dad" and "daddy" happened almost instantly. They loved him so, so much. Just as much as they loved eachother.

They got back to the lounge and settled in the sofa again. The hot chocolate was still warm so Dan took a sip out of the mug and snuggled into Phil's side. The older laid his arm around the younger. And that's how they sat for the rest of the evening, watching kid's shows on the tv.

No one cared to switch the channel, 'cause the company of the one they loved, was enough to keep them content.
