The eagle men, eagle men, how do I know who they are, that's right my mum fought them in that dream I had, I look over to aunt Liza and she suggests that I defeat them the way my mum did while they handled the remaining giants, which I really had no problem with, the eagle men were a cake walk compared to the giants, at least that's what I thought, I was on top of aunt Liza's roof, I then yelled, "Kendra!!!" And in 5 seconds flat, my personal griffin appeared in front of me.
Are my services needed master
"Yes kendra, I need your help to take down the eagle men"
As you wish, but master let me warn you that these eagle men are not the same your mother and I faced, I fear that they have evolved again
"Again? What do you mean by that?"
All beasts evolve to adapt to the next hood, as you became stronger than the previous hoods, they became stronger to match your strength, If we take a look at the eagle men for example, at a point, they were just crazed men, then they began to turn to monsters, fangs instead of teeth, nails grew to talons and then not too long after the wings followed, I do not know what mutation they have now undergone, but I fear it is unwise to overlook it.
"Thank you for the info Kendra, but I think I'm just going to wing it" I quip, I swear I am the funniest person I know, Kendra sighed and shook her head irritatedly. I take two steps back, run forward and jump off the roof, I land on Kendra's back and we are off to defend the village from the winged men. As we raced through the skies, the silhouettes of the winged men started to come into view.... are they... burning???
The winged men looked different, body structure, wings and everything from the way they looked in my dream, they had stony bodies, there talons looked charcoal black, their eyes were red and their wings didn't look bird like anymore, they were fiery like made out of pure fire,
I hope the transformation had stopped there, but it didn't, as soon as they spotted me, they charge at me and were clawing and scratching, their talons burned, it was like that part of my skin was engulfed in flames, I wanted to scream, but I didn't, kendra seemed to respect me and I did not want to humiliate myself in front of her.
One of them began to spew lava from its beaks right at me, kendra moved the both of us out of the way.
lava!! Why lava, why don't they ever get a normal, nonlethal ability, like touching their nose with their tongue, or being able to cross their eyes, not spitting lava from your beaks, well I tried that sword through them thing like my mom did, but it didn't work, the whole I made in them just started to heal, this blade touching a monster should kill it, but they just started charging at me,
I bet a headshot will do the trick, I shoot an arrow at one of their heads and the eagle man caught it before it touched him, he broke it in two and tossed it, Nahhhhh, I am definitely terrified! Hold on, their might be only one way to defeat these things but I can't do it from up here, Kendra must have been reading my mind, because she started landing, I told Kendra to get a safe distance from me, just in case this didn't work.
The eagle men began to fly toward me. I watched them carefully, timing their approach. When they were close enough to the ground, I summoned the plants, commanding them to grab the creatures and form a cocoon around them, just like I had done to the giant. Spikes grew within the cocoon, and then everything burst into flames. "Finally," I muttered, turning to walk away.
"Vincent, I advise you to turn around," Kendra's voice echoed in my mind.
I spun around and saw smoke billowing everywhere. As the smoke cleared, I realized my cocoons were gone, reduced to ashes. The eagle men stood there with holes in their bodies, I watched, almost trembling as the holes in their body already started to close up. "I don't know if I can defeat them..."
