In a matter of seconds, the place would be swarming with stalkers. I had to move as soon as possible if I wanted to at least get a chance in surviving. The safest possible solution would be to head straight towards the facility. Before I knew it, my legs were moving on their own, guiding me towards my destination. The electric fences were still live so climbing my way inside was out of the question. The only other way in was the main gates. I had to circle most of the facility's exterior to reach the gate. It was dangerous but I was already this far ahead. I either tried to live or give up and die but I wasn't the type to give up so easily.

I jumped on top of one of the stalkers in front of me, stabbing it in the head with my knife for an instant kill and rolling forward as soon as it fell to the floor. There were a few stalkers ahead of me almost blocking my way but in a few swift motions, I cut most of them down. I managed to avoid a lot of them but I was getting slower. After slashing the head clean off of the last stalker in front of me, I placed the knife away and took out the handgun to shoot the closest of the stalkers behind me. Some of the bullets missed but managed to land some others that caused a few of the creatures to fall on the ground, making the rest behind them trip and slow the horde down. Moving forward, I shoot until I ran out of bullets. With no other choice, I placed the empty gun back in its holster and ran with all my strength until I was finally able to reach the facility's fence.

The echoes of their heavy breaths and horrifying moans sounded louder every passing second. They were able to almost keep up with the speed in the car, it was no big deal to chase down a human on foot. I was a bunny being chased down by a huge pack of hungry wolves with no hope except to keep running. I was now a few feet away before the teeth of one of them would reach the skin on the back of my head.

Thanks to my instincts, I moved very close to the fence, stepping on the cement and jumping toward the opposite side, rolling on the floor. Suddenly, electricity began to spark behind me. A few of the stalkers had jumped on the fence, causing the rest to slow down giving me some more opportunity to reach the gate but the same trick wasn't going to work twice.

I continued along the fence, jumping over some of the roasted stalkers from previous days. Taking a glance towards the back, I noticed only a few stalkers chasing me. Around ten nearby at most, while others heading my way from other directions.

I could probably take them head-on if I was careful. Either way, I needed to deal with them one way or another if I wanted to go inside, not to mention that they were already close enough to get the kill so I took the opportunity to fight back, pulling some string from the weaver and turning around to face the horde.

I dodged around the first creature, almost like dancing, and placed the string on its neck, crossing my arms quickly and cutting its head. As soon as the head was detached, I grabbed the body and threw it in the direction of the rest. The body collided with two stalkers, making them fall to the floor. There was a bit of time to think about my next move, keeping a clear head for the next attacks. Suddenly, one of the creatures jumped over the two struggling to stand, stepping on the face of one of them. I moved closer to the creature and kicked it towards the fence while it was still airborne. The creature I had pushed down was now on its feet and attacking me along with two others. I backstepped during their attack, jumping high and making an acrobatic stunt while throwing the weights attached to the strings in the weaver. The weights missed the stalkers intentionally, forcefully moving them towards the direction of the stalkers and pulling it back. Two of the stalkers were in the direction of the strings, cutting them in three pieces as they moved towards me, all in the motion of me landing. So far I was holding my own but as tired as I was, I got careless. A stalker appeared behind me. By the time I noticed, it was too late.

"You're a waste..." Voices of the past began to resonate inside my head as I noticed how time slowed down in the face of death. "Trash, just like your mother." It said.
