Chapter 2 Care For A Kitten

I opened the door and ran inside with my parents shortly after, I took the cat boy from my father and took him upstairs while he built a fire and my mother made her very famous chicken noodle soup.

As I entered my room I lay him on the rug in the middle of the room and grabbed a bunch of clothes from my closet. When I turned to him I saw he was sitting cross legged with his hands flat against the flor between his legs, with one ear lying flat in his head which was cocked to one side and his tail swishing from side to side.

He watched me curiously as I came closer with the clothes. He looked really adorable like that

"Would you like some help getting changed or would you prefer to do it yourself"

I then noticed his shirt was stained with blood

"How long have you had those injuries?" I asked

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the bath and added some bubbles. After it was full I put my hand in it to test the temperature to find it was perfect, I looked to the neko-boy and gestured to the the bath with my hand before heading for the door. But before I could leave he grabbed my hand and pulled me back

"I can't reach my back" he said "also if I'm left alone in here I'll probably drown"

"Ok, but I'll be looking away while you get in" I said

"That's fine"

I turned away and stared at the wall until I heard him say I could turn around. When I did I knelt down by the bath, grabbed a flannel from the side and started wiped away all the dirt and dried blood on his back, then applied some disinfectant and stitched the cuts closed.

After I finished I grabbed a towel of the rack and placed it on the floor next to the bath then put another one on the sink with the clothes I brought in and the I waited outside.

It took a few minutes before he came out of the bath room, but when he did my face when completed red. He was only wearing my cream colored jumper, it was fairly long so it covered him, but it also made him look fairly enticing

He smirked when he saw my red face

"Look good do I?" He asked putting his hands on the back of his head making him more enticing than before

"Put some trousers on! Please!" I practically yelled, my face going a crimson

He giggled as he looked at me

"What's taking you two so long, hurry up!" I heard my dad call

I had let the neko sleep in my bed, so he'd be warm and comfortable, not that it wasn't warm and comfortable on the couch cuz it was, it's just more comfortable than the couch.

After a while I started getting hungry and decided to get something to eat and when I entered the kitchen I found the neko boy sitting on the counter staring into the sink, in the same position as he had been before

I walked up to him and realized that he looked sad as he stared into the water

"Hey, what's wrong?"
I asked him quietly so I didn't scare him

"Nothing, I'm just thinking" he replied, his voice heavy and sad

"About-?" I asked

"My family" he replied

"What's wrong with your family?"

"I don't want to talk about it"

"Ok, but if you ever need to talk about it I'm here for you. Now I'm going to make you some herbal essences tea to cheer you up, ok?"

He smiled "ok"

"Oh and by the way, my names Kie" I said

"Good to finally get your name Kie, I'm Cole"
