The next morning I woke up really early. Too early.

I got dressed in some simple jeans and a black top, brushed my teeth and took my time to get my books and stuff for school.

I headed downstairs where the nice smell of eggs and bacon came flying up my nose. I run into the kitchen and dropped down my bag while jumping into the seat at the cooking island in the middle of our kitchen.

The cook John put down a plate in front of me filled with bacon, eggs and some toast.

‘Good morning John’ I said happily.

My parents always eat breakfast in our dining room, but since I was up later than my parents I always eat breakfast in the kitchen with John.

‘Good morning sunshine’ John greeted me with a smile.

John was always happy in the morning. He told me that was because he could wake up every day doing what he loves most.

John was a little fluffy but not too fat. He had short dark hair standing straight up his head and always has a big smile on his face.

I ate my breakfast with great pleasure like everyday and just as I finished my juice I heard a car honking outside.

That was Dan picking me up to bring me to school. I took my bag and run outside to Dan.

‘Have a nice day at school Faye’ John called after me.

I threw my hand up in the air to let him know I heard him and got in car with Dan.

‘Good morning princess’ Dan said smiling at me.

‘Why do all of you have nicknames for me?’ I asked Dan frowning.

‘Because you’re our little princess’ Dan answered me grinning.

I thought about that for a second. That could probably be true. I was really spoiled by everyone around me.

Although I would never ask for anything, my parents gave me everything they thought I needed as a seventeen year old girl, and more.

‘But you do know I’m not really a princess, right’ I told Dan still thinking it through.

‘You can be whatever you want to be’ he told me a little more serious now. I smiled at Dan for what he said and he drove off.

When I got to school Callie was waiting for me in the parking lot. She noticed the big SUV that Dan drove me to school in today with wide eyes.

Thinking her eyes were about to pop out of her skull if she were to widen them more, she proved me wrong when I got out of the car and her eyes widened even further.

She really didn’t expect me to be in this car. She walked right up to me opening her mouth to say something but closing it again.

Disbelief in her facial expressions. Her mouth opened and closed again before she could finally speak.

‘Your parents are rich!’ she stated.

‘Yeah’ I answered a little embarrassed while grabbing her arm and tugging her into the direction of the school.

I waved Dan goodbye and so did Callie with a wide smile on her face. Dan just put on his sunglasses, got back in the car and drove off.

He knows I don’t like the attention, especially if it’s because of my parents being rich. I got inside the school with Callie by my side.

I had to get my schedule to check what my first period is. It was Drama which isn’t bad to start the day with.

Callie had the same class which I was glad about. She guided me to the right classroom and we took a seat at the back.
