Faye’s POV

I lied down on the soft grass with my eyes closed, trying not to think about what just happened.

Had Alex really just got punched on the nose, and had Chris really been that angry with me. I didn’t get it. He really seemed like he was always the cheerful one.

But what I really didn’t get were my own actions. I was so not the type of girl to get SO angry just like that. To try and punch someone and the yelling at Chris. I just didn’t recognize myself in that picture. I didn’t feel like myself.

I heard soft footsteps on the grass coming in my direction, so I opened my eyes and sat up  to see who it was.

I looked up and saw two very worried light brown eyes. Callie. I sighed with annoyance and let myself fall back in the grass again.  I heard a soft thump as I reached the ground.

Callie came to lay beside me, also closing her eyes, enjoying the sun.

‘He didn’t mean it like that’ she started.

I groaned, I really did not want to talk about it just jet.

‘Yeah, well, then he shouldn’t have it done it’ I stated.

I looked at her, and saw the worry in her eyes. I looked at her for a few more seconds. I knew it wasn’t her fault Chris had acted like that.

But the truth was, I wasn’t so angry at Chris. I was mad at myself for acting out like that. I shouldn’t have done it.

I sighed ‘I know he didn’t mean it, I didn’t either. I’ll go talk to him later’ I told Callie en rolled over to my belly and put hands under my head facing away from Callie.

‘Thanks’ she said, and she actually sounded sincere about that. I didn’t reply but closed my eyes again. We both lied there for about half an hour until we were sure third period was over, then we headed back for our lunch break.

I hadn’t noticed how hungry I really was until I stood in line getting my lunch. Everything looked just so appetizing.

I went to grab a tray and loaded my plate full, not really looking at what I all put on it.

‘Wow, you’re eating for an entire orphan home, or what?’ I heard Alex behind me.

I turned around to look at him with apologizing eyes.

‘It’s okay’ he was answering my untold question.

‘You’ll think Chris forgive me?’

I looked at Alex who seemed to be thinking it through, but his answer was firm and determined.

‘Yes, he will. Chris can get angry really fast. But as soon as he gets angry, as soon he can forget why he was angry In the first place’. Alex said.
