I walk out of the hospital with Phil and Louise.
It's been about 5 hours.
I have a bloodied bandage over my head where the man had hit me.
I can still hear my heartbeat over everything.
Today has been so scary.
I stay close to Phil as Louise goes to get a taxi cab.
He's rubbing my back as we wait, his hands are so soothing on my back.
His ocean blue eyes have shimmers of sunshine.
They make me feel safe.
It seems like we've been waiting forever, so I start to look around a bit.
The crowded area we call London is always full of unfamiliar faces.
Isn't it weird?
That you can live somewhere your whole life, or at least a few years and still see people every day that you never see again.
It's oddly unnerving, the fact that the world is just so big, there's just so many people, so mu-
"There's one!! TAXI!!!" Louise screeches.
The yellow car pulls up to us and we get in while Phil pays the driver.
I close my dark coffee eyes and start to fall asleep.
I couldn't help myself, my eyes wouldn't stay open.
Maybe I'm just tired from the blood loss?
I'm not sure, but I embrace the darkness and the faint noise of the road underneath the tires.
