Chapter 10: Hospital

Mia's point of view.

"Miss can I have your details please?" Silence "miss at least your name so then we can bring up your details ourselves?" Silence once again. "It's Mia Kincade" someone says from beside me. I turn my head to the left and see Jackson standing there fuming with anger but trying his best to contain it. He turns away from me when he gets a phone call and from the sounds of it, it seems like it's Damon.

All I can do is sit there and replay everything that happened up till this moment. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I don't even realise that the paramedics are trying to bandage up my arm to stop as much of blood as they can. Once they are done they help me up but because of the amount of blood I have lost, that when I stand I end up falling onto the paramedic on my right, who quickly catches me and helps me back on to my feet.

I'm carried out to the back of the ambulance car and carefully put in, the paramedics go on to tell me what's going to happen and all but all I can thinks is where did Aidan run off to and if he's ok?

Once we arrive at the hospital I'm carefully taken out and they walk me up to the emergency room. Once in the room lots of different doctors and nurses come in and out doing different things while all I can do is sit there and try to get over my shock.

One doctor comes in and tells me that he's going to be the one to stitch me up and all I do is nod my head. I sit there for about 10 minutes when finally the stitching is complete." There all done and dusted. Now we advise you to spend the night here and get some rest and then depending on your state in the morning we can release you." The doctor says slowly making sure I understand every single word.

"No I'm sorry but I wanna go home I've had a long day and I just wanna get some sleep. But if I do feel unwell then I'll come back." I plead not wanting to stay in here any longer. The doctor looks at me then my stitches and back at me and smile "ok then, I can't force you to stay here. I'll get your paper work done and you shall be able to leave, meanwhile you should call someone to pick you up." The doctor says before walking out.

Just then I remember I was talking to Ivy before and how I just went MIA on her. I get my phone from my side bag that Jackson must have put in for me and unlock my phone to see a dozen text and calls from Ivy, Ava and Damon. I decide to text back Ivy telling her about what happened and that if she could pick me up but stop in the middle because I don't want her to get all panicked over me so I just text her I'm fine and I'll talk soon.

I reply back to Ava as well when the same doctor walks back in with a few sheets in hand. "I'm just going to need you to sign these and then you can be on your way." He hands me the papers and I quickly sign them and get up. "Now if you feel dizzy or sick please make an appointment and you will also be having regular check up on your stitches." The doc say. All I can do is say yes and nod my head since I'm exhausted and just want my bed.

I say my thanks and goodbye to the doctor and walk out. I'm walking down the hall going through my phone for a taxi number when the hospital doors are flung open and in come men and women dressed in paramedic uniform wheeling in a man that is on the bed with an oxygen mask to the face. I step out the way to let the people past and all I can hear is them shouting random things but one thing I understand is that apparently the man had consumed lots of alcohol that now he's got alcohol poisoning. Poor man his wife and family must be so worried.

I carry on walking down the hallway looking for the number in my phone when I hear shouting again but this time the voice sounds very familiar "I should be allowed past even though I'm not family he's still like a brother to me please I got to be there for him." The person shouts. I turn the corner to see Damon trying to push past the nurses but they are not allowing him to pass.

I quickly run up to him and say "Damon what are you doing here?" At the sound of my voice Damon stops and turns towards me and that's when I realise how puffy Damon's eyes look and how his nose is red. As soon as he sees me he runs and pulls me into a hug, making sure to not hurt my stitched arm, and beings to sob full on causing me to cry too even though I don't know what happened.

"Shh Damon it's ok. What happened?" I question trying to calm him down and leading him to the waiting area to take a seat on the chairs provided." It's Aidenheshadalcholpoising" Damon rushes out. "Damon deep breaths and now slowly tell me what happened." I say trying to get Damon to relax " it's Aiden he's had alcohol poisoning" and as soon as those words left his mouth time stopped around us.

"W-What?" I stutter out trying so hard to understand what Damon just said. "That man that was brought in on that stretcher was Aidan he had alcohol poisoning because he consumed a lot of alcohol." As soon as Damon said that I jumped up and made my way over towards the way the paramedics had taken Aidan.

I walked straight towards the room not caring that multiple nurses were trying to stop me, and that's when I saw Aidan's lifeless body there hooked up to lots of different tubes and all. Despite everything that happened tonight with him and, that I should be mad at him, all I could feel was hurt and pain to see him like that.

I instantly rushed over towards his bed side and once I got a proper look at his pale face I burst into tears. It was like a truck had hit me that I suddenly felt the weight of the night, the pain I was feeling in my arm and the pain of seeing Aidan like this.

"Excuse me miss but I'm going to have to ask you to leave please only family members are allowed to see him right now." The doctor said trying to carefully pull me away. Before I could even figure out what I was just about to say I blurted out "his my fiancé."
