I gather my hair up in a ponytail before throwing some clothes in my bag.
"Do you have to go?" George asks, leaning against the wall.
"There has been no word since I left. If something happened to them... Let's just hope that it is due to communication errors."
An arm wraps around my waist, pulling me closer to my husband. He wraps his other arm around me and I grab his hands. The two of us just stand there for a moment, not wanting this to end. He kisses me cheek softly and I lean my head back to look at him.
"The war's almost over," I promise.
"How can you tell?"
"This is my fourth war. Do you really want to argue with me on this?"
"True," he chuckles. I turn to face him. "Please be safe."
He lightly kisses my forehead and slowly lets me go. I shut the bag and throw it onto my shoulder. George and I share a kiss before I shadow jump. Where I land is by a frozen lake in the middle of the woods. A white doe appears and soon disappears as I spot a familiar ginger pull his best friend out of the water. I run over and help get Harry to shore. Ron runs back and grabs a sword before heading back over. I pick up the pile of clothes and throw it at them. The two had taken a dip in the ice water in only their boxers.
"Get dressed. Last thing we need is for you two to get hypothermia."
"Yes ma'am," Harry chuckles, pulling on his jeans. "So how did you find us?"
"Shadow jumping," Ron states. I nod my head and pick up the sword. It feels awkward in my hands, considering that I never held it before, nor have I ever seen this type of metal.
"So... Um... What is so special about this that you just had to have?"
"Sword of Gryffindor," Harry fills me in. "It absorbed basilisk venom."
"Hate those things," I mutter under my breath.
"You should kill it Ron," Harry says. He lays down the locket and make a hissing noise. The piece pops open and a black smoke flows out, wrapping around us. I step back, only to fall backwards over a log. Where the bank was is now a destroyed Olympus. Harry and Ron were no where to be seen. Percy and Annabeth are across the room, fighting a familiar blonde. Luke turns and send the couple flying. His eyes. It wasn't Luke. It was Kronos.
"No," I mutter. What is going on? Why is this familiar? Scarlett runs over and pulls me up. "Scar?"
"It's almost over," she promises in a calming voice. Then it hits me. It's the war. Tears start streaming down my face, for I knew what was to follow. I watch as Kronos stab Ethan, my friend and Scar's brother, only to push him off of Olympus. A scream escapes my lips against my will and soon dead soldiers find their way up to the room.
"How dare you betray me, child," Kronos growls. He rase his sword to be leveled with my abdomen and charge. A voice in my head tells me I deserve this. But before the metal pierced my flesh, Scar jumps in front of me. I catch her and start crying as she takes her final breath. Luke manage to gain control of his body again, only to pick up the knife Annabeth dropped and stab himself in his Achilles heel.
"This is your fault," I hear. "You were the one to die. If you had stayed dead, they both would be alive and happy."
The entire time this is said, it sounds as if someone is calling my name from down a tunnel. I lower my head and shut my eyes tightly, hoping this could end.
"Jas," I hear more clearly than before. I look up to see my brother-in-law in front of me. "It's over. It wasn't real." I look at the sandy ground. "It was real?"
I manage to nod my head and he pulls me up.
"It's over. Come on."
Harry is standing by the destroyed locket, waiting for us.
"You okay?" Harry asks.
"Yeah," I lie. He nods his head and the three of us head into the direction I assume where camp is.
