“So let me get this straight. Your parents got slaughtered and you think your brothers in on it, then you hit him with a vase run out stole his car and found one million pounds in a big gym back and now you’re asking me to come with you and hide from them?” Alex said while intensely staring at me with an expression I couldn’t read. Early hours this morning I knocked on her door crying and explained everything and we fell asleep watching batman and robin, then when we woke up she asked me to explain this all to her again, 5 times.

“yeah, pretty much.” I bluntly said, all the crying has really worn me out. Then she did something I didn’t expect, she pounced at me hugging me tightly squealing. Then jumping up and running to her chest of draws and pulling out some clothes then chucking them in a bag. “what are you doing?” I questioned her confused, she stopped dead and turned to face me giving the dirtiest look ever.

“packing you idiot! If you need to get away from them, we are going now!” she stated, she actually has a point. I got off her bed to help her pack but she stopped and pulled out all the draws to the chest and pulling a big plastic zip folder encasing a wad of money and a passport. I stared at her my mouth a gape. “what? I’ve been saving! There’s about 6 grand here and I have 10 grand in my savings account.” She stated shrugging, I laughed to myself. How can a shopaholic like her save that much money? I sure as hell can’t.

“Ali, what about you parents?” I basically shouted, not noticing how loud I was actually speaking but she didn’t mention it she just looked at me and frowned.

“Dev, my parents don’t give two fucks about me. All they care about is the child benefits they get for me! They probably won’t notice I’m gone until a month along the line, they’re just so self-centred like that!” she shrugged, she has a point I remember when she run away for a week and stayed at mine and when she went back they didn’t even know she was gone. Parents like that don’t even deserve the right to have children when there’s people out there not capable of conceiving a child that would love and care for that baby. “we should go to Beverly Hills! We’ve dreamed of going there since we were little and now we have the chance to go!” she squealed with bright eyes and a brighter smile. My brain pondered over the idea and before I knew what I was doing I ran over to her and forcefully hugged her causing her to fall to the floor.

“we’re really doing this! Our dreams coming true even though it took the fucked up way around!” I said we a huge ear to ear smile and we both burst out laughing.

Everything was packed and we had the tickets ordered for the next plain to LA. We was in the car driving to airport, it was 3pm and the plain take off time was 5:30pm. Alex left her parents a note saying she’s leaving to make her life better and that she wasn’t ever coming back and we contacting a brother of my mother that I met once when I was about 4 years old, which he coincidentally lived in LA and said he and his wife was more than happy to take In me and Alex and after explaining all that happened he agreed not to have any contact with Martelle. Considering the situation, I’ve never been happier.

Two hours have passed and we’re finally at the airport and went through all the customs procedure or whatever and we were sat waiting for 20 minutes with a coffee before our plane was announced that the passengers needed to make way to board it.

This is it, me and my best friend is out of here for good. But the only thing that is worrying me is if they, my brother and his psychotic friend find me. And what are their intentions when they do?
