Sam Brooke's POV –No Mist-

I stare longingly at Percy Jackson and his friends. Percy, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Nico, Will, Leo, Calypso, Reyna and Rachel. They are so wonderful, like gods, well probably demi-gods, but they are just mortal clearly. I don't like demi-gods, from what I have heard they attract monsters and they think they are better than everyone else. I am good as a mortal. Anyway back to Percy Jackson and his friends. They're so cool like everyone wants to be there friends and yeah. I think I am lucky to hang out with them. I was in the library checking out some books when Piper Mclean, the Piper Mclean, started to talk to me.

-Flash back-

"Hey, Sam isn't it?" I voice questions. I turn and standing next to me is Piper Mclean, Tristan McLean's daughter, also she is part of the popular group. I nod shyly. How does she know my name, I hardly speak to anyone.

"Well Sam, I see you a lot in the library and I was wondering if you know were a book on Marine Biology is? See Percy was really lazy and like he has to pass his exams if he want to live. So here I am. Sorry did I ramble on, I have ADHD." I blush thinking about how she sees me in the library, then I blush even more thinking about Percy Jackson. Perfection in a human form. His black windswept hair and sea green eyes, they're, they're just, sigh.

"Sam, Sam, earth to Sam," A voice breaks me out of my state. I don't know if it is possible but I blush even more.

"Are you okay you look like your burning hot?" Piper asks. I take a deep breath to collect myself.

"I fine thank you, umm Marine Biology is over there," I squeak out. I point to a bookcase.

"Okay Thanks you so much," Piper says. She starts to walk off and I stare at the back of her head. She stops and turn back to me, I quickly look away.

"Sam why don't you come hangout with us at lunch?" She asks kindly. I freeze up. Me.

No say no.

"Um sure." Piper continues her walk away.

"Stupid, stupid," I mentally say.

-A time skip in a flash back, how timey wimy-

No matter how much I tell myself to just get over it, go introduce myself to them, I can't. Piper isn't in the group. I stand around for another minute, having an internal war with myself. I come to a conclusion, I am leaving this, and how could I get my hopes up? I spin around and start walking when someone grabs my arm.

"Hey Sam, so good to see you. Here let me introduce you to the guys," Piper say. She drags me towards the group. Everyone continues talking as we arrive.

"Everyone SHUT UP!" Piper yells. They stop talking straight away and turn to face us. "Everyone this is Sam, Sam this is Percy, Jason, Frank, Hazel, Nico, Will, Leo, Calypso, Reyna and Rachel." They all watch me. Feeling extremely shy I give a small wave.

"Sam helped me find your textbook Percy," Piper states. She turns and reaches into her bag and pulls out the of her bag. She then chucks it over her shoulder and it goes flying at Percy's perfect face. I gasp but at the last second Percy snatches the book out of the air. Piper hisses, "One day."

Percy laughs, with the rest of the group. I don't see anything funny about it, she could have hurt him.

"Thanks, for that Sam," Percy says giving me one of his stunning smiles. I melt on the inside. Hazel who is younger than everyone else moves over and pushes Frank over as well. She motions me to sit down. I sit lightly, and place my tray on the table.
