Lauren had no idea the kind of impact she had on Dinah. With one text, Lauren could change Dinah's mood or even her entire day; Dinah did the same for Lauren.
Lauren locked her phone quickly as she heard her mom walk inside. "Lauren?" Clara said as she pulled her coat off. "Yes mama?" She looked up to see her daughter standing in the doorway. Clara smiled, "How was school baby?" Lauren smiled softly "It was good, boring as always." Her mom laughed at this, "Have you talked to your dad lately honey?" Clara automatically regretted that question as Lauren backed away into her room. Lauren felt her heart break again, thoughts of Mike flooding her mind, she was overwhelmed and hurt. She wanted to leave; to run like nothing else really mattered. Because in Lauren's mind, none of it did. Just when she was about to lose her entire mindset her phone went off....and It was Dinah.
