Chapter 2: Flashback

Rae's POV

Months pass like a blur. Today is August. We didn't do anything except discussion, signing in the clubs and going to guidance office for the first time.

Flashback

I was in the cafeteria eating our lunch when someone nudged me from the back. I was so furious because the coke I am drinking was spilled on my uniform. I didn't brought any extra T-shirt.

"Who. Did. That.?!" I said word by word.

"I did that? What now? You're just a bitch in this school. You will ruin the reputation and the name of Harrison University. You don't belong here. Maybe I can accept your friends but you? Ewww you're–" I didn't let her finish her speech about me. I went to her table and slap her face HARD. People were shocked about what I did. And of course her and my friends.

"Oh my! She slapped the Queen of Harrison University."
"She's a freak."
"Really a bitch."

"Oh. Sorry  I didn't mean to. My hand just slap on its own when I am in front of a b*tch. Listen to what I say young lady, I don't mind you bully and back stab me because if you do it in front of me, surely you will go to the hospital. Second, I don't have any extra uniform–" she cut my words.

"Oh my! How poor of you." she said. I slap her again.

"Oops. Sorry again. I didn't brought any extra uniform. I have 10 sets of uniform so shut up. Lastly, I don't care going to guidance office and will be expelled because I can tell my parents that I can go to any country just to go to school. I am richer than you. B*tch." I said in an angry tone. What she said was below the belt.

"Liz. We need to go to the guidance office now. The SC saw what happened in the cafeteria from where it started." Jhea said.

When I seated in front of the guidance counselor, she snapped her fingers in front of me and said,

"Well well well. Mind explaining on what happened earlier Miss Smith? I believe that it was your fault why Miss del Castillo cried." Ma'am Jhoy said. Tss. I just watch her eye to eye. I didn't talk and don't have to.

"Sorry Ma'am. She just like that when someone will trash talk her. Miss del Castillo was back stabbing Liza and nudged her hard and that explains her uniform. Liz, said a warning and sent a warning on her face which is the slap. That's all." Thea explained. I didn't bother to talk until we arrived at the room. It was just a first warning and when I will be on the guidance office again I will be a candidate for expulsion.

"Ghad Liz! Why did you do that?!" Jhea said. "Liz, I thought you will change this school year?" Thea exclaimed. "Liz please. If you cannot avoid it, just minimize it. I'm begging you. We are." Liyah pleased. Ugh! Okay I give up.

"Fine." I just said.

We're preparing for the Intramurals which will be happening next day. Hayy... My mood suddenly changed because I remembered what happened last year. Today is our anniversary of my ex. My cellphone rang and it was unregistered number. But I still picked it up.

"Hello?"
"Hello? Is this Allizah Smith?" HIS voice is kinda familiar....
"Uhh. Yeah. May I know who is this?" Just for this minute, let me be good...
"Hmmm.... I'm kinda disappointed. You really don't remember me?"
"Excuse me Mister. I don't know you so please stop bugging me."
"But you remember what day is today?"
"Duuhhh... Of course. Today is Wednesday, August 5, 20**"
"No. No. I mean what is the event?."
"I don't remember any event except the anniversary of ours."
"That's it! Hi Elise!" W-wait... Did he say Elise? I only know one person who calls me by that name.
"Wait. Are you..."
"Yes! It's me! Ajax! Happy 1st Anniversary Lise!"
"You must be kidding me? Is this really you Ajax?"
"Mmm.."
"Oh My God. I think I have a stomach ache. I ahh... Gotta go. B-bye."

I ended the call and sat in front of the wall. He was the reason why I am being like this. I mean, I was a gangster since birth but not as bad as right now. We didn't last for a year. Only 3 months. I didn't know the reason but my classmates said that we broke up already. It was November 17 when I confirmed that we broke up already.

Flashback

I am busy with my assignments when my classmate, Maya, approached me.
"Hi Liz! Mind if I ask you something?" she said. She is the most annoying person I've ever met and also the most talkative one.

"Someone said to me that you and Andrej broke up. Is it true?" she asked. W-wait what? 

"What did you say? Me and Ajax broke up? Ha. That's impossible." I said to her even though I'm nervous. It might be true because he doesn't talk to me anymore. He also ignore me.

"Yeah. I think it was about 3 days already. Diba di ka niya pinapansin?" OMG! So my conclusion was true.

"Thanks for the time Maya! I need to talk to him so please don't tell anyone about this." I rushed out of the room and went to his house. It took me 15 minutes to arrive at my destination. It can be walking distance but since I'm in a hurry, I cannot walk it. Maybe I can run though.

"Good Morning Auntie. Can I talk to Ajax?" I asked Auntie when I saw her watering the flowers. She is a nature lover by the way.

"He's upstairs. At his room!" she shouted. I was kinda far so she shouted. I went upstairs and I almost tripped at the stairs because of the rush.

Knock Knock Knock

"Hello? Ajax? Are inside? It's me, Elise." I said. When I entered his room, I saw him with another girl. And worst, she is my best buddy when I was in elementary.

"Who is she Ajax? What is she doing here and why is her clothes ripped?" I asked trying to be brave. I wanted to break down. My knees are weak. Her clothes was kinda ripped at the middle part so I presume that he did that before I entered.

"What about you Elise? What are you doing here? I thought your classmates already told you that WE BROKE UP?" he said and highlighted the WE BROKE UP part. And with that word, I fell down on a hard and cold floor. I cried and cried.

"A-ajax? I-I thought that we'll fight until the end? But why? What's the reason? Am I not pretty? Did I do something wrong? What? Tell me. What's the matter? Is there something you want that I didn't give you? Tell me! Please...." I said. I look like a girl that was lost in a huge mall.

"Please Liza. Just leave already. Why can't you accept it?" he said in an angry tone.

"Please don't leave me. Aaron please. I-I cannot stand without you in my life. Please comeback already. Please..." I cried. He was pushing me out in his room.

"Just leave Liza. I don't love you anymore. Leave or I'll call the guards." I guess he really don't love me. He's calling me Liza now.

I left his house without uttering a word. I even ignored Auntie in the backyard who was reading now a book sitting under a tree. I went to a far place that nobody will know. Just my mom and dad. From that day, I changed. From my clothing, hairstyle, face and of course my attitude. From good girl I turned my attitude into a bitchy attitude. That's what I'm comfortable with....
