Chapter 10

Once they stepped inside, Dr. AJ and Bubble Berry looked ahead to see an earth pony named Cheese Sandwich juggling some bouncing balls, and tap dancing while a unicorn named Trenderhoof played an upbeat tune on the piano. The crowd was booing at Cheese Sandwich because they did not like his act. Some ponies were drinking apple cider, and playing poker. A pony waitress named Fleur Dis Lee was flirting with one of the customers. The customer tried to kiss her, but she slapped him across the face. "AJ, stay close, and do as I do." Bubble Berry said as he began walking like a tough stallion while Dr. AJ copied his moves. A pony bartender named Soarin was watching them, and Bubble Berry winked at him. Dr. AJ winked at Soarin, and followed Bubble Berry as some ponies glared at them. One of the ponies threw a dagger at Dr. AJ, and it nearly him as he stumbled back, and bumped into an earth pony named Sonata Dusk who was busy playing poker. She glared at Dr. AJ who said "Oh, Ah do beg your pardon, madam. Quite unintentional Ah assure you." Sonata Dusk blew smoke in Dr. AJ's face, and he said "How impertinent!" As she, and the other two ponies laughed, Bubble Berry quickly grabbed Dr. AJ, and said "Remember, AJ, we're low-life ruffians." "Ah was until that-!" Dr. AJ tried to say, but Bubble Berry shushed him as they sat down at an empty table.

On the stage, Cheese Sandwich was still doing his act while the crowd glares and boos at him, and Trenderhoof started to get nervous. Cheese Sandwich threw his bouncing balls into his brown hat, and took a bow as the music stop playinging. Dr. AJ clapped for Cheese Sandwich while the crowd booed really loudly at him. "Get off, you stupid bum!" One of the customers said as they started throwing stuff at him to scare him away, and he jumped off the stage. "What's your pleasure mates?" Fleur Dis Lee asked. "Ah'll have a dry sherry with uh...oh, perhaps a twist of-." Dr. AJ tried to say, but Bubble Berry silenced him as he said "Two pints of apple cider for me, and my shipmate. Oh, by the way, we just got into port. We're looking for an old friend of mine. Maybe you know him. Goes by the name of Elusive." Fleur Dis Lee, and the other ponies gasped in shock. "I...uh...never heard of him." Fleur Dis Lee said. Just then, Trenderhoof started playing another tune, and two unicorns named Flim and Flam appeared on the stage with their unicycles, but the crowd booed and started throwing things at them. Flim and Flam fell down as the curtain closed on them, and Trenderhoof started playing a soft tune.

The curtain lifted to reveal an earth pony named Adagio Dazzle, and the crowd lowered their weapons as they started to cheer. As Adagio Dazzle started singing, two pony dancers appeared on stage, and Bubble Berry looked at the bar to see Fleur Dis Lee whispering in Soarin's ear, and he took out a drugging potion, and poured some into the mugs full of apple cider. Fleur Dis Lee gave Dr. AJ and Bubble Berry their drugged apple ciders as she said "There you are, colts. It's on the house." "Oh, Ah say, how very generous." Dr. AJ said as he took his apple cider while Bubble Berry examined his own. He licked his, and said "AJ, these drinks have been drugged." Dr. AJ already drank his, and he started to feel drunk and dizzy as he said "Has a rather nice bite to it. Jolly good, miss! Jolly good!" Bubble Berry quickly pulled him down, and said "AJ, get ahold of yourself!" Dr. AJ clapped as he said "Bravo! Bravo!" Suddenly, Bubble Berry heard a noise, and turned to see Spike walking by while watching the show. He tripped, and fell. He recovered, and made his way as Bubble Berry said "If it isn't our little dragon friend. AJ. Oh what luck!" He noticed that Dr. AJ left the table as he said "AJ?" He then gasped as he spotted him on the stage as he said "AJ!" Dr. AJ was dancing with Adagio Dazzle as Bubble Berry hoofpalmed himself.

The song then ended as the two pony dancers kissed Dr. AJ on his cheeks as the pony crowd cheered. He giggled, and he fell off the stage, and landed on the piano. Trenderhoof backed away. He then got angry, and tried to hit Dr. AJ with a wooden club, but he hit a pegasai named Bulk Biceps by accident. He grabbed him, and prepared to hit him, but he hit the piano instead, and it crashed into the pony band. Then the whole place was in an uproar as ponies started fighting with each other, and even Soarin, and Fleur Dis Lee got involved in the fight as well.
