I woke up very worn out, last night I slept very late and I really didn't feel like going to school but I remembered the deal I made with Wizkid.
I took a quick shower and headed downstairs to make breakfast.
"Hey," I found Angie.
"Hi," she smiled.
"You made breakfast?" I asked.
"Yep, I made your favorite, pancakes," she gestured for me to take a seat.

"Uhm, pancakes?" I asked.
"Yeah what's wrong?" She asked.
"It's just that, never mind," I poured coffee.
"No tell me," she said.
"Well I haven't had pancakes ever since mom died," I said.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yes but thanks," I smiled.
"So I'll be going to school and you're okay with staying here right?" I asked.
"Yes, when's your dad coming home?" She asked.
"Sometimes he comes back and sometimes he doesn't, who cares," I shrugged.

"He's still your dad right Trey?" She asked.
"I'm going to be late, thanks for breakfast," I avoided her question and went upstairs.
"See you in nine hours," I was off to school, yay!

"Where have you been?" She asked.
"School," I laughed.
"Do they allow you to drink at school?" Asked.
"Nope, I went to a bar after school with my friends, geez what's the big deal?" I tried to climb the stairs but I collapsed on the floor.
Of course she helped me up because she's an Angel right?
She placed me in bed and took off my shoes.
"Woah, what are you doing?" I asked as she fiddled with my belt.
"Taking your pants off," she said.

"Hands off Angel, you'll faint if you continue what you're doing," I laughed.
"It's not like I haven't seen it before," she mumbled.
"Sneaky Angel or should I say stalker?" I laughed.
"Whatever, I'll see you in the morning," she tucked me in.
"I didn't know that Angels blush!" I yelled.
"I'm a human remember?" She closed the door.

"Trey wake up," a voice shouted.
I opened my eyes to meet a scared Angie.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"It's your dad," she had tears in her eyes.
When I got up, a headache tried to bring me back to bed but failed.
"Where is he?" I asked.
"Downstairs," she said.
I flew downstairs and saw dad lying there on the floor near the door.
He was badly beat up, covered in his blood, I couldn't see his face. But I did notice a note placed in his chest.

'It's not over yet' it read. Gravonsti!
"Help me take him to hospital," we lifted him up.
"He's going to be okay," Angie said as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"I don't feel his Angel of death," she said.
"Maybe it's because you're a human," I said.
"He's going to be okay," she said.
We arrived at the hospital and he was urgently attended to.

"Can I call someone?" She asked.
"No," I said.
We were now in the waiting room and I sat there impatient.
It's been three hours and the doctor hasn't talked to us.
"Do you see what I'm seeing?" She asked.
"What?" I asked.
"You're worried about him," she said  the obvious.
"Of course I am, he's my dad," I said.
"And you care for him right?" She asked.

"Don't put words in my mouth," I said.
"Okay, can I get you something? A coffee maybe?" She asked.
"I'm fine!" I snapped.
She quietly sat next to me.
"I'm sorry," I turned to her.
"He who forgives us only if we forgive others," she said.
"On earth we only say it's okay," I said making her smile.
"There's that smile," I said.
"Trey, can I ask you something?" She asked.
"Yes," I exhaled.

"I know it been a long, long, long, long time but can we please pray?" I asked.
"I don't know, like you said, a long time," I said.
"Come on, you'll repeat after me and then say what's in your heart, please. He misses your voice," she held my hands.
"He knows me?" I asked.
"Of course! He knows all his children," she said.
"It's very clear that I'm not his child, look at me," I said.

"Even though everyone, your dad, community, close friends, family friends, teachers and me gave up on you he never did," she smiled.
"But-" she cut me off.
"It's not a lot I'm asking, pray for your dad, pray for yourself, ready?" I asked.
"I guess," I exhaled.

"In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit Amen," she said. She then pinched me.
"Ouch!" I exclaimed.
"Say it," she opened one eye.
"Okay fine, Amen," I exhaled.
"There you go, it wasn't that bad was it now?" She asked.
"Nope, except for the part where you pinched me every time I said 'bro'," I said.
"He's not your bro," she laughed.
"Thanks," I smiled.
"You're welcome," she said.

We were still holding hands and neither of us was willing to let go.
I seriously think I'm falling for this girl, who wouldn't, beautiful Angel face, big beautiful brown eyes and amazing personality. I sound like shit!
"No you don't," she smiled.
"You have to stop doing that," I was now embarrassed.
She was about to say something when the doctor interrupted us.
Wait, the doctor!

"How is he doctor?" I stood up.
"He's in ICU, he had internal bleeding and we had to take time draining the blood. Who did this to him?" He asked.
"It was-" Angie cut me off.
"Mugged, I mean he was mugged," she cleared her throat.
"Well you have to open a case, excuse me please," he left.
"Wait, can I see him?" I ran after him.
"Not now please, maybe tomorrow," he said.
"Doc please," I begged.
"Two minutes," he exhaled.
"Thanks Doc," I smiled.

I went inside and saw the old man sleeping there. He looked so weak and fragile.
"I'm sorry dad," I felt tears forming in my eyes. I just imagined what he was going threw. Being beat up by people you don't know, Gravonsti really picked on a snake in it's hole, now it's mad and looking for revenge.
"Dad, I'll be back tomorrow, hang in there buddy," I left.

"Is he okay," Angie asked.
"Yeah let's go home," I walked past her.
"Wait up!" She yelled after him.
"What?" I asked. I was now furious.
"Revenge is a bad thing Trey," she said.
"Somebody has to put that, cover your ears," I said and she did.
"Motherf***er, prick, bustard, ***hole-" she cut me off.
"That's enough," she said.
"One more," I pleaded.
"Trey," she warned me.
"Fine!" I exclaimed.
