"Yaaaas! Hello Summer!" Sabi ko kay Sam after ng signature handshake naming dalawa. Pagkalabas namin ng defense room, ayan agad ginawa namin. Well, we got a good result so, hello summer it is!
"Right bruh! Nabihag mo nga yata yung isang panel eh." Sam said then giggles.
"Nabihag? The hell, she threw a lot of questions to me then sasabihin mong nabihag ko?" Seriously?
"Minsan talaga ang slow mo. She did that para mapansin mo. Shunga bruh!" Nagbibihis na kami ngayon sa magkaibang cubicle. I'm not used wearing these formal clothes pa.
"She'd rather wink at me or just tell me," Yabang ko lang hahaha. "You know, I'd consider that." Natatawang sabi ko.
"Gago, shut it. Sumbong kita sa baby mo eh." Lumabas na ko sa cubicle tas nag-ayos ng mukha.
"Gusto mo ng sumbungan?" Huh! Not me Samantha!
Lumabas na rin siya. "Sabi ko nga joke lang!" We both laugh.
After namin mag-ayos, sari-sariling alis na kami paglabas ng parking. Busy ang iba naming kaibigan ngayon lalo na yung mga graduating kasi grad ball yata nila tonight.
Since nearly 7pm na natapos yung defense, gutom na gutom na talaga ko. While I'm driving, nagring yung phone ni Athena. She's calling.
"Hi." Malambing niyang sabi. "San ka na?"
"Hm, kakaalis ko lang sa school. I'm about to grab some dinner. I'm so hungry.."
"Wag na. I prepare food for us. Diba nga aalis tayo?"
"Yes po. Should I buy more food?"
"No. Marami na 'to. Ingat ka nalang pag drive, okay?"
"Yes boss!" Loveyou boss!
She giggles. "Sige na, ingat." As usual, she ended the call.
The moment I reached their house, I called her immedietly and minutes passed she's in front of me na. Holding a basket of food kaya kinuha ko kaagad yun from her then put it on the backseat.
As we go along the way, she keeps glancing at me. Tahimik lang kasi ako. Iniisip nya siguro na pangit yung result ng defense kaya ako tahimik haha. Hanggang sa makarating na kami sa Antipolo and sa mismong destination tahimik parin ako. Nilatag ko ng maayos yung dala naming sapin para may maupuan kami tas nilagay din yung basket of food don tas siya naman yung nag-ayos ng food.
After niya mag-ayos ng food umupo siya sa tabi ko tas inabutan ako ng tupperware na may rice then nilagyan niya ng ulam yon. Kumakain naman siya ng sandwich.
"Lj.. Its fine. At least you defend it as much as you can di ba? I know its gonna be hard but at least you did your best." Niyakap niya yung right arm ko after niyang sabihin yan. Naks, she knows how to cheer up ha?
I didn't speak kaya nagsalita ulit siya. "I know it'll take a lot of patience and hardwork in the revision, but I promise I'm just here so please don't be sad na okay?" Sweet naman hihihi.
Uminom ako tas tumingin ako sa kanya kaya napatingin din siya sakin. "Eventhough I'm not revising, will you still here by my side?" Shit! Am I demanding?!
"Of course! I'm just here for you." She smiled at me.
"Okay. Well, the truth is I'm just hungry that's why I'm quiet the whole ride and about my thesis, We actually got a good result so stop worrying that much." I winked.
"WHAT?! Todo-todo isip pa ko how to cheer you up then its not--aysh!" Inalis niya yung pagkakayakap niya sa arm ko kaya natawa ko. Shit she's frowning!
