*Ginny POV*
I am just on my way home from yoga, crossing through central park to my penthouse apartment on the upper east side, the one I got in the divorce from my husband a year ago.
I am feeling relaxed in yoga pants a sports bra and a heavy hoodie over, it is still a bit chilly here in the early spring of New York, but it is kind of a short walk and there is only a light breeze so I didn't think I needed a coat.
It feelt good getting out, doing something, and I wished I had gotten an education when I was young, that I had a job to spend my time on, but getting married at 18 to a rich man 10 years my senior and getting my daugther a year later, he wanted me to stay at home, being a wife, mother and hostess.
Then last year, after 20 years of marriage, he just came home one day telling me he wanted a divorce, he had met a 22 year old model called Penelope and wanted to marry her.
So here I am 39 years old with a 20 year old daughter, no job and no education, spending my time on yoga, pilates and Zumba, living of my ex husbands money, feeling so utterly bored and sometimes a bit useless.
Suddenly I hear yelling behind me and before I can react someone hit my back and knocks me over on the path, I see a couple of teenager fly by on skateboards, one of them yelling. "Sorry".
The wind got knocked out of me, and I know I have hit my knee, suddenly I hear a warm, deep and very british voice next to me. "Here let me help you".
"Thank you". I grab the hand extended towards me, noting that it is a very big hand with long fingers.
Back on my legs I winch a bit, my knee hurts quite a lot. I look up at the man that just helped me, and up is an accurate description, as he must be around 6'2, his blue eyes filled with concern. "Are you alright miss ?"
"Yes, I am fine, thank you for your help sir". I smile at him and receive the most dazzling smile back. Inside I chuckle a bit about him calling me miss, I am most certainly several years older than him.
His eyes scan me over, then he kneels down, looking at my knee. "Looks like you have gotten quite a scrabe on your knee, you better get it cleaned".
"You are probably right". Luckily I am close to my home, I can wash it when I get there.
I watch him as he gets back up to his full hight, his legs impossibly long, clad in black jeans. He is quite handsome and there is something familiar about him, like I have seen him before. But he looks like he is in his early thirties, so to young for me to be looking at.
"Would you allow me to buy you a cup of coffee ? You know so I can make sure you are not going into shock or something. I am Tom by the way". He say with the sweetest smile.
I know I should say no, he is to young and I am not ready to start dating, I am not sure I will ever be, but I can't say no to that face and it is just a cup of coffee. "Just call me Ginny and okay then".

*Tom POV*
We walk over to a little coffee house and get two cups of coffee before sitting down on a bench in the warm spring sunshine by a small lake.
I don't know why I asked her for coffee, there is just something about her that makes me want to know more about her, I think I might even be plucking up the curage to ask her out on a actual date.
It is not like I usually just ask woman I meet on the street out, but she doesn't seem to know who I am. She has a beautiful almost regal face with stunning green eyes and her chocolate coloured hair is pulled back in a ponytail.
The yoga pants she is wearing, shows of long slim legs and the warm hoodie, shows that she is relaxed, resting in her own body, the same does the absence of make-up, she looks to be in her late twenties, maybe thirty.
"You are not from around here I am guessing". She looks at me, like she can look right through me and read my inner most secrets.
I shake my head slightly. "No you are absolutely right, I am from London, but I am in New York for the next couple of months for work. Do you live around here ?"
"Yeah right outside the park, I was on my way home". She says, and I wonder if she is very rich or she is a live-in help, but it doesn't really matter to me either way.
I sip my coffee, wondering if I should just ask her out for dinner, I don't see any wedding band or engangement ring, but she could still have a boyfriend. "So you are still feeling okay apart from the knee ?"
"Yeah, I think I will get through it without any permanent damage". She says, looking at me with one eyebrow raised, sipping her coffee.
I chuckle, I think I am really going to like this woman. "Getting a bit sassy are we ? And here I was just trying to be a gentleman".
At that moment my phone rings and I see that it is my puplicist Luke, this could be important, so I got to take this. "Would you excuse me for a moment ?"
While I talk to Luke, who just wanted to know if I had settled into New York, I see Ginny get a call to, turning her back slightly as she talks on the phone in a hushed voice.
Before I can finish talking to my puplicist, Ginny comes over and puts a hand on my shoulder, whispering in my ear. "I got to run, but thanks for the coffee and the help".
I hurriedly say goodbye to Luke, but Ginny is gone, damned, I didn't get her number or her last name, how on earth am I going to find her again ?

*Ginny POV*
Okay maybe I kind of made a run for it after my daugther India called, it was the easy way out, not having to explain.
Yes he was very handsome and seemed sweet too, but he was younger than me, to young, and it has only been a year, I am just not ready to date, especially not a gorgeous man like that, I would only end up hurt when he found someone younger and more exiting.
So I took the cowards way out and ran when he was on the phone, sighing to myself, wishing I had been younger, but I am to old, to set in my ways.
