Nico P.O.V.

"EEK!" I cried. I swear I jumped about three feet into the air and straight into Will's lap. I was to scared to be embarrassed. Will just had to make me watch that scary movie today and to top it all off there was a thunder storm going on outside. Now because of the magical boarders on camp there was no rain but I could still hear the thunder.

I had been through a lot in my life and little can scare me but thunder and lightning just about does the trick.I'm not really sure why it bothered me the way it did, but the brightness and the volume always put me on edge. I stayed in Will's arms as the lightning flashed quickly. I was shivering as if I had just had a nightmare and I had hidden my face in his chest. Will, being a son of Apollo, was really warm and I snuggled into his body heat.

"Nico as much as I love the fact that you are cuddled up in my arms, are you, the powerful ghost king, really scared of thunder storms?" my boyfriend whispered. Gods, his lips were so close to my ear. I released a slight shiver, and this one wasn't because of the storm.

"Yeah I am," I mumbled into his shirt. I swear that I could hear him smirk at my answer. If he was anyone else I would have slapped him for that reaction. He tilted my chin up so that I could look into his eyes.

"Hey, it's okay baby. I'm right here," Will cooed as he rubbed my back lightly. I hid my face again. Usually if there was a storm I would hide away but I didn't want to look like a little kid around Will. I mean he was already a couple years older then my sixteen years. "Awe come on Nico, it's.." He was cut off by a huge clap of thunder. I screamed a muffled "Ahhhh!" into Will's hoodie.

"Okay how about I stay with you tonight and then you'll have your big, strong boyfriend to protect you," he said with a cocky smile plastered on his lips. Normally I would comment on how humble he was but instead I just nodded and snuggled deeper into his chest.

Will's P.O.V.

I think I might scream. Nico was the most adorable half-blood in all of Western Civilization. He is scared of thunder storms and is currently cuddled up in my arms. Why in Hades is my boyfriend so damn cute?!

"Hey let's get ready for bed," I suggest pulling slightly away from Nico. He just latches on tighter and I almost die at his cuteness. I know I sound a little obsessive but you haven't see how adorable my boyfriend is. Enough said.

I finally mange to escape his grasp, and he lets out a huge groan. The lightning strikes again and Nico leaps off the bed and runs over to me. I chuckle under my breath and pull him off me slowly. I walk into the bathroom and change into sweats. I toss my shirt to Nico who quickly changes in another room and re-enters.

My shirt is like a dress on him because he is a half of a foot smaller then my even six feet. I smile at this picture. I was about to comment of how cute he looks when the thunder claps again and Nico leaps into the king sized bed. I climb in after him, chuckling at his slight whimpers. I notice how much the bed warms up once I'm settled. This is one of the many perks of having Apollo as a father.

"Sunshine, it's gonna be okay," I say calmly. I engulf him in my arms, pulling him deeper under the blankets. I feel him relax at my touch. The thunder goes again, even louder this time, but Nico seems calmer. I hum into his ear, but he stops me.

"Can you sing, like actually sing, not just hum?" he whispers. I pull him tighter and begin singing quietly into his ear. I feel him relax in the way he only does when he's asleep and I stop singing. I slip into a comfortable sleep.

-A Little While Later-

I awake to Nico shivering and thrash so hard that I almost get knocked out of the bed. I grip him and wait. It's the only thing I can do. It's almost impossible to wake him up from a nightmare, so I just start to sing into his ear again. I restrain his arms so that he can't hurt me or himself. Finally, after about 20 minutes he wakes up, shuddering.

"Hey Sunshine," I whisper into his ear. He sighs and wraps his shaky arms around me. He's panting and I can see the panic in his eyes. It breaks my heart to see him like this but I stay strong and hold him tight.

"Thanks Bouncy," he says with a small smile.

"Don't mention it," I respond as a slight blush slides onto my cheeks at the nickname.

"No, really. You're always there, through thunder storms and nightmares. Like an annoyingly cute mosquito that never leaves my side," Nico says as his smile spreads into a wide grin. I start glowing at his praise. I love Nico's smile, always wide and genuine.

"I'm your boyfriend my job is to be there whenever you need me, even through thunderstorms," I say. I pull him in and peck him on the forehead. That obviously wasn't enough for Nico because like always my boyfriend took control and pulled me in for a proper kiss. We lay in bed for a little while just cuddling. Nico kept sneaking kisses. I swear on the River Styx that every time he kisses me my heart actually stops beating. He pulled me in for another one, this one was a little more passionate, I could tell.

The door burst open at that very moment and Percy ran in. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw me and Nico. I mean we were cuddled up in bed, kissing, not exactly what Percy expected to find. Nico pulled away quickly and I groaned. "So Will's your type but I'm not!" Percy yelled.  Percy burst out laughing at a joke that only he found funny, like usual. He ran from the room before Nico could respond. I pulled Nico back into my body heat, but the peace didn't last long.

"OMG! You two are so adorable!" Piper yelled from the doorway. I groaned in frustration. I hopped out of bed and closed Nico's cabin door. I made sure to lock it too. "Your so rude Will!" she yelled through the door.

"Just let me have sometime with MY BOYFRIEND, and then you can fawn over OUR relationship," I shot back. I climbed back into bed snuggled Nico. I manged to pull him so that he was laying on top of me. "I love our friends but I enjoy cuddle time with you more," I comment once we're comfortable again. I look up to see Nico blushing like a cherry.

"Ditto, I love spending time with my glowing bouncy ball," Nico said. He snuggled closer to me and started humming the song I sang to him the night before.

"Hey Sunshine?"

"Yeah?" he responds.

"Can you sing to me" I ask cautiously. I figured that he would shoot the idea down quickly, but to my surprise the light humming formed into singing. Except he was singing in Italian, instead English. Luckily I could speak fluent Italian since it was the language of music. He translated it perfect. Nico's voice was soft and comfortable, like the voice of a father who is singing to his kids. Now that I think about it, Nico will be a great dad for our kids. Wait! Did I really just say our kids!? Oh Gods!

I'm not sure when it happened but my voice slowly joined his and we fell back asleep like that. Cuddled, with him on top of me, singing the lyrics to "You Are My Sunshine" in Italian. Nico was my sunshine, no question about it, so as I slipped back into sleep, I sent a silent prayer to the gods, asking them to never take my sunshine away.
