Getting off my long awaited flight, I took everything in. Finally being able to see something new.

As if my four hour flight didn't make this real enough.

California weather definitely made me regret wearing the sweats I chose to put on this morning.

"It's hot as hell out here" my brother announced as the cool air from the airport was replaced with heat.

My mom frowned "Boy watch your mouth, you know better." Looking at Troy I laughed as he rolled his eyes behind her back. "It is hot though, Dante better hurry his ass on." She said referring to my other brother.

My family consists of Me, my mom and my two older brothers. Making me the youngest and the only girl.

Checking my apple watch it read 2:43 p.m. "I thought you told him to be here at two?" I asked.

"I did but you know how your brother is." she rolled her eyes. I nodded agreeing. Since Dante already lived out here and we flew, he was supposed to be picking us up.

A couple more minutes went by and he eventually pulled his car in front of us. "Aye y'all I'm sorry I overslept and then there was traff-" He rambled on making up excuses. Cutting him off Troy shook his head "Ain't no excuses bruh had us out here bout to pass out." Troy said over exaggerating. Smacking his teeth Dante got out the car making his way over giving me a hug.

Embracing him made me think of how much I missed my brother. I can't even imagine how much I'll miss Mom and Troy when they eventually leave. But I know this is the best decision and what I've always wanted.

Helping me Place things around my dorm, me and Dante took turns rapping lyrics from my playlist.

Since my Mom and Troy left this morning he stuck around and helped me with a few extra things. He said he just felt like being a kind and helpful big brother. But I honestly think he just doesn't want to leave me with all this eye candy around campus. Now that I'm in college I don't have to have someone looking over my shoulder all the time. With him and Troy, boys were never an option. It was like having two body guards that weren't wanted or needed.

After we were finished getting things to how I wanted them we decided to go get something to eat. Being that Dante already attended this school last school year he knew his way around.

Leading the way out the dorm I opened the door as Dante pushed it closed. "I know you don't think you about to walk outside like that." He said. Rolling my eyes I frowned "What are you talking about I'm wearing shorts and a T-shirt, ain't nothing wrong with this" I said directing my hands to my distress shorts and black top.

Smacking his teeth he pointed to the bit of stomach that was showing on me. "Either go change your shirt or pull that shit down." Pulling it down so he'd shut up I pulled the door open. He's always being extra and it was highly annoying. At least his big headed ass leaves soon and I can have some space.
