I've been laying in bed with Keith for the past 3 hours, after a while he finally gave up trying to figure out what was wrong with me and just held me.

Which was all I needed right now... I never wanted to hurt Algee..

Why would he do this now? He was perfectly capable in College.. Or High School.. Something!

I sighed and closed my eyes, letting myself drift to sleep.

When I woke the next morning, I found Keith getting dressed for work.

"Oh shit, why didn't you wake me?" I spoke, sitting up.

He looked back at me, realizing I was awake.

"Shh.. Go back to sleep.. I'm giving you the day off.." I looked at him. "Really?" He nodded.

"Whatever you're going through it's no need to force yourself to work with." He explained.

I half smiled, the pain of Algee's face still stuck in my mind.

"Thanks, I owe you one." He smiled and walked over to me, pecking my lips.

"No you don't. I'll see you after work, I love you.." He grabbed his car keys, walking out.

"I love you too.."

Once I woke again, I had decided to go home and freshen up. I unlocked my door, and exhaled.

I took my shoes off before remembering that I had to feed Swims and Dorothy. The fishes Algee got me for our 11th year of friendship. The fish were nice but the whole aquarium was a bit much, it did make my apartment look more inviting though..

Too bad it invited the wrong company..

I looked over towards the aquarium to find someone standing in front of it, observing the fish.

When I say someone I mean a male, wearing a grey shirt and black jeans.

I jumped, holding my chest before reaching over and grabbing the umbrella laying on the floor next to me.

Good choice of weapon... My sarcastic subconscious spoke.

"Who are you? Why are you in my apartment?!" I yelled, gripping my umbrella.

The someone, looked up and slowly turned around. I took in a gasp of air as I realized who it was.

"...Luke?"

He smiled as he watched me. "Hey beautiful.." His voice echoed throughout my place.

This was the Luke I remembered but new and improved. The once once clean shaven face was now a scruffy fully connected beard. His low cut has grown into a fro filled with wild curls and his overall dress-ware was more sophisticated.

I felt my heart drop into my stomach.

He took a few steps towards me and I backed up into my wall causing him to stop.

"Okay, I'll stay over here." He mumbled, putting his hands up a bit.

"What do you want?" I got to the point.

"Just wanted to see how you were doing, baby.." He stepped closer and I raised my umbrella.

He paused and chuckled. "No need for that." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Tell me what you want.." I growled.

"I've missed you." He confessed.

"Oh, should of thought about that before treating me the way you did." He smirked. "Oh please, it's my nature to be protective of what's mine." I rolled my eyes.

"I still love you, you know.."He continued. I gave him a look. "Right, what do you know about love?" He looked at me.

"I know I love you.. I'll do whatever it takes to get you back to being mine." I smirked.

"Good luck, I don't plan on being stupid anytime soon.." He smiled.

"Of course not.. I expect you to play smart these next couple of days.." I looked at him confused.

"What are you talking about?" He smiled at me, walking close enough to be in my face.

"You'll be mine again.. I hope you're smart enough to keep this meeting a secret or else your friend might go missing.."

Algee..

"Leave him alone.. He has nothing to do with this.." I defended. "We'll see baby.." He said and caressed my cheek before walking towards my door.

"See you soon."
