Chapter Two

sorry for the delay!! I know it's been awhile but I wanted to continue this! Please forgive me for the lack of writing! Also, if this is a bit fast paced and short sorry, but I haven't done this in awhile. Please favorite and comment what you think! Enjoy :)

Strange. Clem thought. People who seem to not want to rob or kill us.. what a surprise. Clem had obviously met nice people before; Lee.., Kenny, Jane, Carley, etc. but that was years ago.. and it's strange to see anyone friendly anymore.
     Javier seemed hesitant to come closer, but Kenny was with a child, Clem and a baby, AJ, it was fine. "This is Kate, Gabe, and Mariana."
     "N--" Clem started "-Nice to meet you." Strange.. something no one seemed to say anymore.
     "Wow.. another girl my age! And a baby?!" Mari exclaimed, with a mix of shock. "If we stick together I hope we can become good friends --" Mari stopped "How ignorant of me, sorry, what's your guys' names?"
     Clem, Kenny, and AJ were introduced and the group continued to chat. It was weird.. in a good way.. but defiantly an adjustment.
     Kate, Gabe, Javier, and Mari were all very nice individuals. They had a very family-like nice attitude and welcomed Kenny Clem, and of course they loved, AJ right in. Now, Clem and Kenny didn't want to stay with these people for long but, they weren't bad.
A friend? Clem remembered Mari say. That would be nice... but the last time--
     She stopped herself. Sarah couldn't be another depressing thought to have right now.

     It got to dusk and the group followed by Javi, to a place that apparently Javi discovered very, very recently.
     "We were scavenging for food at this junkyard and came across this condo-type thing. We heard your gunshots and ran over and, and now we're here."
     The group of 6 got to the place to find it small. Disappointing, but the food made up for it. Pudding... something Clem hadn't had since she was probably around 7 or 8. Oh, how much she would love to be back there.
     Clem, feeding AJ, and the others ate some food while Javier went to go get the gas that was waiting for their van.
A van?? Clem questioned. Another thing that you never see in this time.
     5 minutes, maybe later a man with a very scratchy, deep voice was screaming outside "I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! WE'VE GOT YOUR MAN! COME OUT AND OWN UP TO THE GAS YOU'VE TRIED TO STEAL!"
What?! Clem thought. The gas here never had a fucking price tag or anything like that! This is bullshit! AJ! Clem thought but Kenny already had him in his arms.
     "In here" Kate exclaimed, lifting up the underway of the little box-home. They all crawled in as soon as they heard what seemed to be Javi and the man opening the door. Kenny wanted to stand and fight, yes, but he had a baby to protect.
     They closed the hatch quick and quietly and waited. AJ, babbling confused, Mari crying, worried about Javier and Gabe shaking and eating his fingernails. Clem? Sitting, with her knife drawn.
     They hear Javi being questioned when, suddenly, the hatch is trying to be lifted! Clem tries to grab whatever she can to keep it closed but everyone else has crawled away! The hatch lifts, practically throwing Clem into the air, and the man that opened it is being attacked by Javi. Clem kicks out the mans knee and holds him at knifepoint when 3 other males come in. Clem and Javi being overpowered are both hit with a back of a gun, unconscious

Strange, just how quick things can change. That's the last thing Clem remembers thinking before waking up in a chamber.
