Nobody's POV
Acacia didn't really picture her Aunt's house to be the way it actually was. It was a lot smaller than she expected, it consisted of an open floor plan and about four other rooms.
The kitchen, living room, and dining room were all connected. There were two bedrooms both having their own bathroom, the master bedroom's being bigger, and their own closet. There was a small library, with a small couch, two armchairs, and a little coffee table. Then there was Aunt Mary's office, an elegant and classy looking room.
All of the walls were a dark shade of grey, and the floors were all dark and hard wood, most likely real wood. The furniture was all clean and elegant looking.
On the outside of the house it looked a lot bigger than it actually was, it seemed two stories high, but all of the rooms were on one floor, and Acacia never found any stairs.
Acacia, being the curious and stubborn person she is, decided to look around some more and see what she could find.
Her Aunt Mary was out running errands, and told her that she was welcomed to do as she pleased, as long as it was within reason. Little did Mary know, this was a mistake.
Acacia searched through every room in the house, looking for anything that seems like it could lead to another place, like a secret entrance of sorts.
Finally, Acacia reached the library, which she had saved for last because it's so cliché.
She went through and studied the way each book was carefully.
There's no way it's a book, she thinks as she sits down on the couch, the way the books are set up and how they look just don't match the kinds they use for secret entrances.
Acacia gets up and looks around a bit more, a small figurine catching her eye this time around.
It was glass and in the shape of a swan, but it was black, and the position the graceful bird was in showed off its wings, as they were extended.
When Acacia went to pick up the figurine, a small click was heard and one of the bookshelves next to her opened up to reveal a staircase.
"Now that's interesting," she says as she walks towards the staircase, her curiosity taking over, "I wonder what's up there"
Acacia slowly makes her way up the metal stairway into a room full of a wide range of weapons, a training area, some high tech computers, and other various devices, along with a glass case holding a black uniform.
Just as Acacia was starting to get a good look at her surroundings, she heard footsteps, and immediately grabbed a knife off the table next to her and turned around. The knife pointing straight at her Aunt's throat
"Sorry," she says slowly lowering her weapon, "I just wasn't expecting you home so soon"
"Oh no, I came home as soon as I was alerted that someone touched the black swan on the shelf," Mary says, "now, what would you say if I told you that you could be just like anyone on the Justice League, minus the ones with powers of course"
"I'd say bring it on" Acacia looks at the knife in her hand, and twirls it like it's nothing.
Mary nods, and smirks ever so slightly. Walking towards her niece.
"Before we get started, we have got to do something about this hair" Mary says, touching Acacia's hair, "any ideas, Acacia?"
Acacia turns to look at the black outfit in the glass case, "I know exactly what to do with my hair, now can we please just get it over with?"
