Experiment 078, Paul Wellington

It's been 2 days in this coma. All I can do is sit here and stare at my lifeless body and watch nurses taking care of it for me.

All they say is "We don't know when we can wake him up," or "What if he doesn't survive?". Oh boy, how I wish I didn't survive this. But technically I'm alive until they shut the monitors that keeps me alive down, can't I do it on my own? Hm, it's worth a try..

I walked towards the respirator that helped me breathing and searched for the right buttons to press. I found buttons with numbers around them, and I turned those three down to zero. I pushed a button down and then I took a hold on the respiratory tube that was connected to the machine and pulled it out. My body's chest stopped moving up and down and the heart monitor started to beep loudly as the oxygen level dropped fast.

Nurses and doctors came rushing in with the crash cart and started once again with CPR to keep the heart pump blood.

"Hey, look at the respirator! Someone has shut it down,"

"What the fuck are you saying?!" My doctor said as he rushed towards the nurse who said that; the doctors eyes flashed dangerously of anger as he pulled the old tube out from my mouth and then changed the tube to a new one, connecting it to the respirator.

"Get away from the experiment, I'm starting the respirator again," A nurse said and then he started the respirator again.

Everyone backed away from the bed as the respirator started to fill my lungs with air again, my doctor watching my chest rise and lower.

"Great work everyone. Now I want to know who was in here last," Everyone looked at my Doctor, clearly horrified by his words.

"So? Anyone who dares to speak up?!" He hissed, his eyes were burning with furious.

"I think Nurse Beth was in here for about thirty minutes ago, Doctor. But her shift has ended for today.."

"No way she would do this, she's professional at her work! And it doesn't take thirty minutes before the monitors are starting to warn us," another nurse argued, and she was right. Everyone in the team nodded in agreement.

"So a Ghost did it, are you telling me that? How old are you, three?!"

"No, sir. We have proof that ghosts actually exist after our latest research on the other department,"

"I'd like to see that research, Nurse."

"Wait, look at this.." Another nurse said, holding up a.. Pregnancy test?

"Experiment 078 is pregnant, Doctor. We finally have a living male that's in pregnancy." They all stare at her in shock and then the pregnancy test, including me. That couldn't be true, oh god. God, please tell me that she's joking! Please tell me that they didn't succeed with these experiments!

My doctor chuckled darkly. "Seems like I'm going to be a father, I think the kid will a great looking me," he said. The team laughed and nodded in agreement at his words.

"That would be true, Doctor. The kid will get the ugliness from the experiment in that case," Everybody answered "Yes," to this and then they all left me alone, once again.

So much for trying to kill myself. First it goes wrong, and now I'm, a male, is pregnant with my doctors' child. I guess I just need to shut the heart monitor off before I try it again. Because I refuse to give birth to a child when that's a woman's' duty to do. I curled up my ghost-self in a ball on the chair on the side of the hospital bed, staring at my stomach as tears streamed down my cheeks with only one thought in my head;

I have a growing life in my stomach, that I need to protect.
